Default Fellow Stangers We Must Unite

And write a letter to the people at Summit Racing and express our anger for having a catalog with 10 pages devoted to our beloved breed.. and 26 pages devoted to the downfall of true muscle cars as we know it... .The Rice Rocket..

I couldnt believe it, the Sport Compact is 26 freakin pages long. And full of a bunch of new stuff. Our section is slowly being done away with and I feel that this is a problem. We should all band together and spend thousands on our cars and lets these people see that we are still around....

C'mon guys and gals, are ya with me.

Bradley

I have as much use for the sport compact section as i do for the mopar and LT1 sections. As long as the 5.0L section isn't done away with i don't much mind. They will still sell all the products. I don't order what i see in that section anyway. I usually get the part number of the item i want from the manufacturer and enter it into the manufacturer part # search. You'd be surprised at all the mustang items they have but don't list.

I hate to see rice advertising in an awesome catalog like summit's, but they have to cater to their buyers, and unfortunately that's a growing section.

...just what i think.

I used to enjoy getting my Summit catalog. That was until they started putting that Import garbage on 26 pages!!! It's not even useful stuff. Things like pedal kits, a million shift knobs, and body kits just take up space in the catalog. Oh wait, I might need some new headlight bulbs for my car...Now, do I want the ultra white, the ultimate white, or maybe a colored bulb (purple, amber, blue, green, or red). Give me a freakin' break.

In the past year or so, our 5.0 Mustang section hasn't changed one bit....but they go and devote 26 pages to Imports??

I think I'm going to tear the 26 page import section out and wipe my ***** with it. That's all it's good for anyway

Go where the money is, that what they're doing. They are in business to make money and will sell what folks want.

That's why speed shops that do imports are making the money they are.

Exactly. It is a good thing though. Its an extremely good laugh. especially considering the like 3/4 is useless crap and then the actual performance stuff is like 500 bucks for a set of 4 pistons

Its called capitalism. Yeah call summit and tell them not to make money off of ricers.

If it were my mag I would do the same thing.

I guess that makes me anti-unity

I can't blame 'em either. My local shop is the same way.

Walk in the store and half of the stuff you see out front is Rice this, Billet that. They are prominently displayed in the store.
If you had enough money you could replace EVERY interior and external part with a billet substitute.

Ive actually sold over $500 in billet crap to one customer alone.
He wasn't even interested in actual performance mods other than a K&N cold-air "intake". (I wasn't going to correct him... It's a sale...) The cold air kit was actually on TOP of the 500 dollars worth of worthless billet crap.

I also sell a lot of APC "Altezza" tail lights....

It's sad, but I make a little bit of extra money while getting to laugh at these guys on the road...

By the way, how can I see your "cool" Altezzas if I keep kicking your ***** off the light?

as an import driver and enthusiast, knowing the reputation of summit, i went out of my way to get the "sport compact catalog".......

i was pretty disappointed to find not a single damn product that i'd want to put on my car.....offered little to nothing as far as quality performance parts......all my "import buddies" felt the same way
