I think he has about another week before he sends it to the paint shop for a nice coat of bright yellow.

Hey guys.....I haven't been on the boards much lately. I've been extremely busy working on the fastback and with track meets and practices.

Today was going to be the day that I took my car to the paint shop. But the guy's dad needs his shop to pull an engine out of a truck so he told me to wait a week. Kinda figures...with my Coupe I had to wait almost an extra month for him to get ready for it. But he does awesome work, so I suppose it's worth it.

The guy who's painting it is also going to replace the headliner, rear window seal, and the windshield. He'll have the car for about a week.

Once I get it back I have to put the exterior parts back together and put on all the trim and chrome and stuff. I got a whole bunch of good deals on NOS trim pieces on eBay so almost all of it will be new, and NOT reproduction!

I'll have to take it to get aligned, but that will only take a day, so that's no big deal. Then I have to put all the interior back together. But that will be very simple, I already have everything I need including weatherstripping and windlace so it will be a quick job. The carpet out of my coupe will work in the fastback. All I need is seats. I have some Mach 1 highback buckets, but the tracks are all rusted and don't work, so I think I'm going to have to buy new seats. That blows. I have to buy a rear fold-down seat kit too, and those are expensive.

It's coming along pretty nicely. I think within a month and a half the car will be completely done. My dad and I have all the body work completed now. It's all ready for paint. I'll have the car back in about 2 weeks. And a month or so would be about right to have the car at show quality after that. I'm PUMPED!!!
