Question Timing adjustment on distributorless 4.0 L ranger?

This may be a stupid question but I honestly don't know. LOL Anyway my friend has a 90 Ranger with a 4.0 L and he wants to adjust his timing and I couldn't tell him so help me out guys. Thanks a bunch

If it's a DIS I don't beleive you can adjust the timing manually, you'd have to get a chip. Not 100% though.

I believe that you require a chip to adjust the timing, as Godslayer mentioned.
