Exclamation My drunken adventure

OK, for starters, I've never gotten drunk before, so this was all new to me.

I went out last night to eat and got invited to eat with the locals here on the island. I went, ate, and was just sitting around whne I decided to have a FEW drinks. It was some sort of hard rum, real nasty tasting, and burned - OMG! Anyway, I had the last drink in the bottle and felt bad to doing so beacuse it was for a friend of mine - Becky; it was her birthday. So I bought another one. Shortly after, I found out that 7-up was better then Coco-Cola with this. Well, everyone any had like three drink out of the bottle and was done. I felt "I bought this, and I"m not letting it go to waste". So I ended up drinking ¾ of the bottle myself. Bad thing to do. My friend, Forrest, who was his first time getting drunk too, had about the same, maybe less, he ended up trowing up everywhere. Gross, I had to help his butt to bed.

TO make this short, I have a huge hangover today, and I'm at work.

It was fun while it lasted, this is going to be a first, and a last, for a long time.

NO, u watch, I won't. Besides, when I go back in one day, I'll be underage again. Still only be 20.

By the way, I noticed that the title got changed, I just what I had before wasn't what I should have put.

I found out that is was soem sort of imported Brandy. Really strong stuff.

It's been 24 hours since I've had it, and I'm still burping it up. I still have a hangover, and I still smell it in my breath, so no, I want have this kind again. And no, I won't get drunk again for a while.

Exclamation Are we having fun yet?

Kaspar:

Sometimes the nasty stuff that follows a night of drunkeness is enough to put you off the 'fun' of getting drunk.

It took awhile but I finally had enough of the retching and everything else I suffered after getting drunk, not to mention the trouble you can get into when drunk that would never happen otherwise.

I decided that drinking to excess just wasn't all that much 'fun' and I didn't get much out of it at all and whatever I did get was generally negative.

I don't mind a beer or a drink once in awhile but I have no need or desire to get drunk again under any conditions. Been there, done that.

I think you may come to the same conclusion.

Before yesterday, I've never had more then two beers. Never needed to. Yesterday was a friends bd party, and kinda mine too, since tommorrow is mine. No more though, I'm still feeling it, 26 hours later.

Yeah, I remember saying that when I was 15. It wasn't long before I was drinking again. I got drunk quite a few times before I was 21.

Kinda funny really, I'm 22 now and I might get really drunk once a year. The rest of the time I just have a few beers to loosen up, and then quit. Maybe it's because it's LEGAL now, that I don't want to do it.

Don't worry about it, I never even had a beer, till I came here. But I think yesterday fixed me pretty good.

Yeah, I agree with the military thing. I get drunk almost every weekend. It's because there is nothing else to do really. Until I get my car up and running I don't have alot of options for things to do on the weekends. So me and my buddy just kill beers all weekend. Not to give Marines a bad name or anything, but we kind of have a reputation for drinking excessively. At least us single guys.

Same thing here. I'm 22, and I think I've gotten drunk once this year. Although my roomate is graduating this year, so he is going to have his senior barrel. It'll be hard to turn down free beer, especially when there is a 1/2 barrel sitting right in the kitchen and a bunch of people partying.

Oh, and I've said the "I'll never do this again" before, and you almost always do. It may be a month later, it may be a year later, it may be 5 years later, but it'll happen again.

Almost every weekend? Thats nothing....when I was active duty I drank every night. I believe I was borderline alcoholic, but man did we have fun. Sitting around the barracks playing cards, drinking cases of beer and bottles of Jack Daniels. Ah, to be young again. My body would need a week to recover now.....

I agree with Mr 5.0. Yep, I did most of my drinking in the military too. Young, single, and stationed in the beer capitol of the world-- Germany. I had a lot of fun until the last week I was there. I realized that I was in the military for two years already and had nothing to show for it. I had no savings, a T.V., and a broken VCR. Two years pay and all I had was a box full of stuff and a head full of blurred memories.

Anyway, I know you're not on that path, it's just my personnal 'Mustang Works AA Testimony'. I got drunk two weeks ago at my brother's wedding reception. Hell, if he's payin'.... The last time I seriously drank was New Year's of 2001. Damn, I love that Jamaican dark stuff-- rum! There's spiced rum, dark rum, light rum, orange rum, lemon rum....[Homer Voice] mmmmmm....rum.[Homer Voice] It's so versatile.

Last time I really suffered was a couple weeks ago though I must admit, I love to drink. Maybe its the irish blood or maybe it just runs in the family. The last time I really suffered was about 6 monthes ago. I got real drunk and needed some food. My bro had some 16 bean soup he had made in the frig, it hadn't cooked long enough but I was hungry... Talk about suffering the next day at work. My customers were laughing at me, hahaha. I don't drink Kahlua because I got sick off of it when I was 15yrs old and Henry McKenna is a friend I haven't hung with since college(for the same reason).

Damn i have actually settled down on my drinking since i joined the military. I did way more drinking in College than i ever have in the military. Although my year in korea was pretty close to what i did in college. Now i only drink on the weekends wich i don't see anything wrong with it. If i had a family and stuff i wouldn't drink i would spend time with them, but since it is just me and the mustang is out of comission there is nothing else to do.
