Default Just saying hi.

I'm new here. I signed up way back when there was all that **** with the "It was waaay cool" thread. Forgot about this place and then just remembered.
I don't own a Mustang but have wanted one since I can't remeber when. I'm from Niagara Falls Canada, 23, a college student at Sir Sandford Fleming, taking Resources Drilling and Blasting. I drive a Mazda Protege, humble though it may be, its a blast to drive and even with not a whole lot of aftermarket support, I'm glad I picked that instead of a fuckin Civic. They're practically blood sworn enemies now.
Anyways, I like Mustangs, and really want an 85 SVO, and a couple (several) others that I can't think of at the moment.
Question: I've seen picks of the new, or concept Mustang thats supposed to be out in '04 or '05 but haven't heard anything about drivetrains. What is going to be under the hood, and how many gears will the owner be shifting??

Welcome Back, MazdaProwner. I know the feeling about being gone for a while. This is my first post in a LONG time. As for your question, well, I know absolutely nothing.

Howdy and welcome

As far as the new 05 stangs... they are suppose to have 6 speeds for the manuals and 5 for the autos powered by the modular 5.0 motor.

welcome brother!

theres still rumors afloat in the ford camp about specific specs for the 041/2 redesign..everything from the standard 4.6 SOCH 281 in the GT to a modular 5.0 for the cobra.. some where down the line even rumor of a 3.0 4 cylinder.. lots of stuff, but no conformation on anything as of yet.. but the clock's tick tockin away..
specifically , i believe the 400 hp version has to be the cobra. course 350 RWHP from the GT would make a sweet base to start from..
