Leonid Meteor Shower 5AM!!
Its supposed to be the best for the next 100 years, at least 1 per second...of course you wont see that many unless youre 50miles from any light source...lol...i only know about it being visible form the eastern coast, but the peak is from 5:15AM til 5:35AM...even if you are in a city or are surrounded by lights you are still supposed to be able to see the good ones...im debating on staying up all night or setting the alarm after 3 hours of sleep...only thing is is that there is a full moon out...so you mighjt have to block it with your hand to see more meteors....should be worth it...

Get some sleep you psycho. It's too late for me right now, and I'm three hours behind you. I need to sleep now, so I don't end up with keyboard face tomorrow at work.

too bad for those who missed it...i saw about 45 meteors from 5:00-5:45AM...and the light pollution on campus is horrible...so anyone in the country mustve seen 200 at least...out of those 45 i saw about 4 that were as bright or brighter than the full moon that was out....they left streaks in the sky...extremely cool what a loss to have missed it...even if for just 5minutes....oh well...time for sleep...i gotta be up in 3 hours...

I watched last years Leonid Meteor shower, and it was beautifull. Of course, bieng the romantic I am, I made it a late night date with the girl I was dating at that time (Whom I'm actually dating again...Long story).
Last years was also late, peak around 4:30-5:00, but I didnt get to see this years. I was to damn beat to go outside and tolerate the below freezing temprature. Wish I would of, and now I regret it. As for the time frame, I'm usually up till 5:00 in the morning anyway..Gotta love the late shift. |
