Default Hey Guys: The Perfect Gift for the Wife!

Well, they're finally here. No one has pictures of them yet, but they're here, none the less.

Mercedes-Benz has finally entered the SUV market with two new vehicles, worthy of the MB name. The basic model is the Maybach 57 (pronounced: my-bock), and it's about a foot longer than the Suburban. The Maybach 62 is about two feet longer.

Both have a 550 horsepower turbocharged V12, and come with 4-zone climate control, televisions, and interior trim in "a variety of exquisite woods, natural stone, fabrics, and leathers".

So, how much for this monster with marble dash inserts? The 57 is about $300k, and the 62 is going for $350k.

Remember, guys, Christmas is coming, and nothing says "I love you" to the wife like a Mercedes-Benz! Especially one that costs more than your house did.

Take care,
~Chris

For that kind of dough, I'd have me a PAIR of GT40s!

What model year are these puppies? 04? Wonder when we'll actually see one driving around?

BTW, pass the Grey Poupon!

Jeez, $300,000 for an suv?! Thats nuts! That reminds me of one of those old Lamoborgini suv's that they made back in the 80's. They never caught on as I remember. They looked like a cross between a hummer and a Lamborgini.

They didn't mention a model year, but they did say that the first one is already here. It came over on the QEII, and was sold to someone in New York.

Take care,
~Chris

Anyone hear the crack of the whip? lol j/k hehehe...

I don't know if I could justify that money for an SUV, or really any car unless I was extreamly wealthy.

I like to think of myself as a down to earth kind of girl. I don't need $300k SUVs to make me happy. Just give me 6 different colored 03 Cobras, and an Azure Blue Mach 1 to drive on Sunday and I would be content.
