You know, my birthday is only 4 months away.

That looks like a fine piece. IR is my favorite, hands down. I even prefer them to my Snap-on air tools. Try it for a month, and tell me what you think. I'm pretty sure what you're going to say, but I trust your honest impression, and am interested.

BTW, you're a prick.

Take care,
-Chris

LOL...um thanks....lol. It was higher priced than the other ones I was looking at, but I decided to go ahead and get it, I remember you saying you really liked the I-R air tools. And I figured it would last me a long time. I also like it because it has a button "throttle", and not a lever. I'll let you know how I like it. And next on my list is a I-R impact, it's between that "Thunder Gun" and another I-R impact. The other one is made of a composite material and has the speed adjustment on the back of the gun, they are both $199, (thunder)625ftlbs, and 600ft lbs.

Damn, that does look nice, i've also heard alot of techs swear by ingersoll-rand air tools as well. the only air tool that i don't have thats nice is an air ratchet, but it's weakness has saved my knuckles quite a few times (as well as not loosened bolts even more times than that ).

I've had other air ratchets before, I'm kinda an air tool *****. I love them, I can't get enough of them, I spend my whole paycheck on them sometimes, and then I just use them when I want to. This one is rated at 70ft lbs of torque, which is the most I've seen. I really like it because it doesn't have a lever "throttle", it has a button, and I think that in itself will save my knuckles because I can get a better grip on it.

I have the IR2131 1/2" impact. It's body is made of a "composite" material, and is probably the other one you're talking about. I love it, and wouldn't trade it for anything. It's rated at 600 lbs., and is super lightweight, making it easy to manuever. I haven't tried the Thunder Gun yet, although IR did send me a t-shirt for answering a survey about them. Anyway, the 2131 kicks *****, and can be found for under $150, if you look around.

Take care,
-Chris

We only use Ingersoll Rand impacts air ratchets and grinders where I work.. We even got a massive Ingersoll Rand compressor.

Never had a problem.
