That would call for some drastic measures. My deepest sympathy to Daniel, she was a beautiful one.

Yeah I saw that yesterday. You would have to be a pretty screwed up person to do that to somebody's car and on top of that, it looks like they didn't even steal anything.
This seems like the ideal case for the death penalty! j/k......well at least if someone did that to my car it would be. ------------------ 1991 GT, AOD, Moroso Cold Air, 3.73s, March pulleys, 3-chamber(the left one fell off-NO time+No Money=College), FMS c-springs, and KYBs |

I don't know what's wrong with some people. They don't understand the time and money that we put into our cars. We truly LOVE our cars. Someone keyed my car about a year and a half ago and I have yet to find them. When I do, (and I will) I'm gonna carve something into their front door.

That is just horrible! I
would want to kill the person that did that. (but I probably would'nt) and that they did not steal engine parts or something is just crazy. Probably some teen-age holligians bored and decided to have fun and drive a Mustang and then one dropped his smoke and there started the fire. I hope his insurance will cover that. |

Before I saw the photos, I was thinking everyone was reacting too much, but now that I have seen the car........ I am truly at a lost for words. That is terrible . I want to yell sooo much, yet I can't say anything at all. I really hope insurance can in some way ease the pain.
Those photos kinda messed up my night. Probably some gang initiation crap. Funny, I just happened to read this post right after I saw the pics...it made me feel sick!! My car has been an icon to me through many turbulent times in my life. Many would say I am materialistic, but I don't really think you can be if you love a multicolored oil burning piece of crap looking car I've just grown an attachment to both my old 98 and my current 84 because cars never leave, and if they do its not their fault, like that poor GT. I just got sad thinking about how that poor guy must have felt. I would have just cried...

Chalk that one up as another thing I want punishable by the death penalty.
I'm sorry but if anyone did that to MINE or any of my friends' Mustangs....no doubt I'd take at LEAST a limb off their body. Hope Daniel can sort things out okay. ------------------ Capri306, Moderator, The Mustang Works Online 1979 Mercury Capri, 5.0L -- C4 -- 2.73 1987 Mustang LX Notch |

Yea what sucks is it looks like they didn't even steal anything. Probably just a bunch of punks who took a joy ride and wanted to see what a burning car looked like. Makes me so mad.
Or maybe they were mad because they got outrun by a freak of a Sorla |

Damn, such a beautiful car... I hope those mofo's get the death penalty... Damn, I know what its like to have a lot of blood, sweat, tears, and money into my car, and if that happened, well it wouldn't be pretty. I hpoe for Daniel's sake that the insurance company covers it at least.

Whoa....I'm lost for words. Sheesh...um Spinemup, that's a pretty harsh assumption, anything is possible tho' and if this guy truely loved his Stang I don't think he would stoop that low. Anyway it really upsets me that to see a Stang done soooo wrong!

That's totally wrong. I would be in a complete rage. I doubt this was insurance fraud. I'll bet that Daniel will have a good idea of who did it when he stops and really thinks about who all the f'd up people are he knows. Being in insurance, the loss will be covered unless the ins. co. can prove (in court) that Daniel had something to do with it. The problem is that the insurance will pay him crap unless he had some add'l coverage. The blue book value of a 1991 GT isn't very much.

holy $hit..i just now looked at the pics and ive seen alot of burnt car(im in the FD) but that one was toasted..and come to think of it the selling value is usual worth more than the book value on stangs so i think ill rule out my above post(unless he was really sneaky and thats not his car and only his wheels on a POS GT and he swapped the VIN #'s so he sold his car and he is getting the insurance $$$ from a POS stang..sorry i seen it happen b4) ..i didnt relize the car was that nice..bad loss if it was his or good job for screwing the insurance companies if it isnt..

I know how you feel. That sucks to have put a lot of money into a car only to have some ******* steal it, then burn it. I have had 2 cars stolen from me and can seriously relate to the guy's pain. The last time this happened and they caught the guy, I wanted to come down to the police station and seriously rip the guy's head off.
