my dad had one, with a staight6 and dohc, it was pretty stout, it would rip em in the first three gears. He finally traded it in for a 300z.

Thumbs up

Man I always wanted a Supra when I was growing up. Never got one. The white ones with the black trim and the sail panel thing on the back glass looked kickass.

What are your plans for it?

I don't have the wings for it yet, but I am going to get them in the near future. My plans...well, they are confidential....

Man that's not fair. No hints? Regardless, good luck...it's a nice ride.

When I was in high school my first car was almost a 78 Supra GT. The ST's were the ones with the trunk right? It was metallic green or brown (can't remember) and had nice rims and a stick and was in great shape. The guy wanted too much for it though so I never got it. Does anyone remember what engines were in those? I haven't seen one in years so they must all be in Toyota heaven already. One of those would make a cool sleeper just for fun.

Sorry just reminiscing.

All Supras have been hatchbacks. The first two gens (79-81 and 82-85) shared the Celica platform. The first gen had a 2.6 liter SOHC I6 with a whopping 116hp and 145ft/lb of torque.
