Default Ventura Speedway 10/19 (The last race?)

There are rumors that the Ventura speedway in Ventura (duh), CA will be shut down after this season. For those of you who don't know it is PKRWUD's home track.

The last race of the season is on Roctober 19. I will be there, because its about dam time I got up there for a race. Hopefully Chris will see this and tell everyone more about it, but I know you can buy a pit pass to see the cars up close.

It's a three hour drive for me, and I know a lot of you live closer than that. It would be cool to get a good MW turn out, because short track racing is sweet!

Come out and see it while you still can.

Actually, the SCRA boys will be there on Oct. 26th, but the last race of the year for the local teams is the 19th. It really is a lot of fun, and it's a family environment, but some rich folks want to have an amphitheater there, so we'll see what happens. I do invite anyone and everyone to come out and join us for our last night. Pit passes are $20, and allow you to go where ever you want to, pretty much. The pits open at 2pm, and the racing starts at 6pm. If you have any questions, just email me at;

pkrwuds@pacbell.net

Take care,
~Chris

Well you are just being difficult aren't you PKRWUD? The last race you mentioned was on the 19th and it sounds like Jim ain't running on the 26th so it may be the last one for you guys.

I'll be there on the 19th anyway.

Well, I try. The season ends on the 19th. The race on the 26th is a non-points race for the big-buck boys. Our last race, and possibly the last VRA race ever, will be on the 19th.

Glad you're coming up!

Take care,
~Chris

I'd love to go, but I'm not sure if I'll even be home in time. And even if I was, My car won't be fix for a while after words. If someone is passing through the sac or san fran area, please come pick me up. I'm leaving here on the 16th, so I should be there on the 18th. Seriously, if someone is passing through, please let me know, I'll gladly tag along, and I will spring for gas.

I'd gladly pick you up, but both Mike and I are coming from Orange County, about 1 to 1/2 hours south of Ventura. You're about 5 hours north of Ventura, sorry. Take care, Keith
