Seen it in auto trader and I was intially looking for an A-body. Decided to check the Aspen R/T out. The owners were a middle aged couple, about mid 50's. He had just retired as a engine machinist. His wife used the car as her daily driver before she got some twin turbo mercedes.
The body is excellnet with no rust. Interior was competely redone and done well. He swapped in an 8 3/4( w/ 3.21 sure grip) axle for the 8 1/4 that was originnally in it. The engine (original 318 short block with high miles) needs some minor work. It has small chamber 273 heads. Comp is a little over 9-1 most likely. Tranny is an A833 4spd (overdrive)with a hurst shifter. The guy owned it since 1982 and was well taken care or, price was $2850. Ill get some pics when the sun comes out here and send it to you PRKWD. I think that this will serve as a good platform for the 360 magnum engine sitting in my garage. Oh, he has another Aspen R/T in just the same condition. I have first dibbs on two other jewels he has in his garage when he decides to sell them. '67 440(complete) and a complete Hemi (426) yea baby, yea

Some guys have all the luck.
Okay, after what happened to your Duster, you're owed a few breaks. lol Sounds very cool, and I agree, the 360 will just drop right in, and sounds like a killer idea! They got many '72 Pintos up there? I need a platform to drop my 308 in.... Looking forward to the pics! Take care, ~Chris

Im a big fan of dusters and demons as well. What makes an aspen different from a duster and a demon?

Well put PKRWD, that is about it. Its a tad heavier stock for stock. But a very simular platform. I do like the 4 spd OD tranny. Will prob try 3.91- 4.30 gears.
