Default Garage Action Shot #6 - Pictures

Half assembled with future home in the background. I so hope I assembled everything correctly. I am most worried about my compression being too high. It is at 9.3:1 with a 0.046" quench. I hope it will run on Pump Gas. If not it will come back apart for chamber enlargement.

Ya'll aluminum headed bastards better fear my iron

Default email me

Send me an email and I'll send you the full sized one or you can use that one.

Full sized is 1760X1168, that one is 500X332.

9.3 should be fine as long as you use 91-93 octane. My 428 has 10.06 and runs fine on 92 octane. I usally add a octane boster but i can never tell the difference if i do or not. I dont' know all that much about 302s since i am new to them but dont see how it would make a differnce.

I'll just use the 500x332, thats a good size, anything larger and geocities throws a fit when it comes to loading up. Thanks for your permission Bob.

Just curious, did you do any porting to those P's?

My P combo is almost complete, and I am VERY anxious to see how it will run.

What intake and cam will you be running with it?

Default Hey FiveO

I removed the hump on the exhaust and opend it up a little. I cleaned up the bowls a little and cut the "lip" from around the valves in the CC. I did not do any work on the intake runners. They were already much larger than the explorer intake. I ported the explorer lower instead. The explorer is also of the year that has EGR, so no part thorttle pinging for me

The CAM is a Crower 15511. It should go nicely with the combo and the 3.55 REAR.

I will let you know how it runs in a week or two. The engine is almost ready.
