Really accurate for the times, 1/4 mile specifically, generally between 3-4mph fast for trap speed.

I know a few ppl that have used them and they ran about 3 tenths faster on the g-tech than what they ran on the track. not bad really if you don't have one close by.

they cost 139.00 or get a free one at discount tire with the purchase of 4 bf goodrich tires

Give me a break 1BAD89. The G-Tech is just fine for what it allows you to do, tune your car. That is to do a garage mod, immediately go out and do a run to find out if it improved your peformance or not. That kind of convenient comparison can't be had by driving to the track.

Does the g-tech give you your 0 - 60 (not your 60ft) and if so what did you run that in skyler?

Exclamation

actually it can vector. a couple of reasons:

1. if you live close to a track, then you get 60ft tiems and 1/4 with trapspeed

2. you are going to be racing at the track, what better place to find out if you have improved than the track you would be racing at?

but yeah, its great to see if you have improved without going to the track. either way, you get results. oh yeah, its safer and legal to drive fast at the track, but you know you cant do that on the street legally! well dont get caught concept is what you have to worry about.

Really, it doesn't matter at all if it's right on or not. As long as it's consistant. Make a few runs with one, get a good base line for it(which requires you to go to a track and compare with known times) and see, on average, how far off if at all it is. Then you can start to play with it.

Does anyone know how reliable it is on the horsepower reading? I'd like to say that it's within 2-5HP, but you know these things are. Also, is the measurement rear wheel, or does it calculate flywheel HP? Eitherway, it should be fun when mine comes in. (I bought some BFG KDWS, for the Black GT)

James- Its been a LONG time since I ran my car on the Gtech. I can't remember exactly what the 0-60 times were. But I believe it was high 4's before I did my suspension.

I'll have to check again, cuz our cars run about the same.

Give me a break 1BAD89, he's not looking for numbers to brag. Simply a tuning comparison. You can't tell me that it's better to drive 4 hours to your local track, wait around doing dick all while idiots **** up the track, and then you can't hook up etc. Lots of **** can happen, so why not just uste the G-tech to help you tune so when you DO take the effort to go out there, it's worth it when you come back with a nice time slip. If the G-tech runs consistent with itself and your car then you at least have a tuning baseline.

I wouldn't ever say the track is better for tuning in a practical standpoint unless you live on it and can run whenever you want. The only thing like that would be to rent out the track with a Mustang club, that would be great but ask most people and they don't have access to things like that.

Mine runs about .25-.3 seconds less on the G-Tech and about 5 mph faster. I ran at the track (with the G-Tech running) for 3 runs. My G-Tech hp varied all over the place. 200-250 on numerous runs. Actual DynoJet was 224.5 so the average was about right. I didn't like those wide variations on the G-Tech hp though.
