Good 'Ol UPS
I ordered 256MB of SD 168pin RAM from a solid internet provider. They offered me free UPS Blue Two Day Air Delivery. They shipped out my RAM on Monday of the past week.
Since I live in Champlin, MN closer to Minneapolis than St. Paul, take a little look at how they routed my package. Instead of doing what Fed Ex would have done, which is send the shipment Saturday Delivery to attempt to make as much of the wrong, right, they decided to take their time. Speaks volumes for the quality of service you get from UPS in my opinion. Sep 1, 2001 3:58 A.M. DES MOINES, IA, US IN TRANSIT TO 3:57 A.M. ONTARIO HUB, CA, US DEPARTURE SCAN Aug 31, 2001 7:19 P.M. haha thats crazy, but sadly the same thing happened to me with my tires. I was in nebraska and they shot them clean over me to the west coast. They then skipped around to various different cities out here in cali then back to nebraska.
It was like someone actually installed the tires somewhere in so cal and got lost for two days crusing in their ride. ------------------ 1987 black with t-tops. I'm not a big fan of UPS anymore. Lately I get only 75% of my shipment the day I was supposed to. When I ordered my Mickey Thompson's for my tubbed truck, they sent me a 1 Super Swamper! And it wasn't Summit's fault it was UPS's. I kinda like it lately, because if you 2 day it, more than likely you won't get it the 2nd day, and that= free shipping! =P

UPS tried to screw me over too!
I send parts to a guy in Oregon via COD and UPS sent my COD check from the guy to QVC (yeah, that home shopping network) Then they had the balls to tell me there was nothing they could do about it!! After several emails and emails to the Better Business Bureau and threats to report the matter to UPS headquarters they finally sent me my money.I thnk the only person involved with UPS that didn't hear about my complaint was Dale Jarrett!! Hell, I even reported it to my local news station and got them involved!! I guess UPS didn't think I would be so persistant about it. I'll go with FedEx next time!! ------------------ '82 GT 351W C-4,BBK headers,Carter 625 carb,Comp.Cam,Flowmaster exhaust. 1988 GT...T-5,bone stock |

Ever since the strike several years ago UPS has really sucked. They pick up and deliver everyday at my business so I get to realize these frustrations over and over. Get this one though.
I ship a package (like the 1000's I have sent before, seriously!) to Texas. Ups calls a week later saying "I'm sorry, your package was destroyed due to improper packaging, we will send you back what is left of it . Since it was not packaged correctly we are not responsible." >>My blood pressure rises to astronomical proportions as I wait for the package.<< Get the package back and guess what? It was our package, and it was trashed, but it was filled with products from another company altogether!!!!!! When I called them back and told them they said "Uhhhhh, well, yeah, we will reimburse you for the loss." Not after they got a severe case of the red *** though. Pissed me off but finally I got to voice my frustrations with them, that was nice. ------------------ SVO siamesed 351 stroked to 417ci,Yates heads, solid roller,Trans King glide and a little blue bottle of giggle gas. May I make a suggestion. Fed Ex Ground or Fed Ex two day will beat UPS and include $100 of free shipping. Fed Ex ground cost me $80 to ship my turbines/tires from MN to NY. It took 3 business days I believe. Total weight, 160lbs, 2 sets of 2.

My friend had his exhaust shipped to my house, and we waited all day for it to come(the day they said it would be here) and finally a UPS guy drives in my neighborhood, I said look man there he is. So my friend chases him down finally and the UPS just drives away, never stopped or anything. So my friend calls Jeg's for the UPS tracking number and they say " we can't give it to you, since you paid with a money order. " So he's pretty pissed, he calls UPS and they say we tried to deluever it last week and you weren't home, it's kinda funny he ordered it two days ago, and if they would've tried and delievered it, then that was before he PLACED the order! And so Jegs says, well he has untill 7:30pm to deliever it, and so 7:30 comes up it's not there. He calls UPS and they say we don't know where it's at, WTF then they say well are driver couldn't find your house(when he drove right by us)so my friend had to fibally 3 days after it was suppose to arrive go pick it up at UPS. It just keeps getting worse, and worse. FED EX all the way.

I gave up on UPS. I opened a FedEx account, and I ship all of my customer's orders using FedEx. They're much better at delivering on time, they break fewer parts, and they accept larger packages without oversize charges.
Unfortunately, some of my suppliers still UPS, so some of my incoming shipments get lost or busted. ------------------ Moxie Racing The Nitrous Oxide Information Site |

I have never had a problem with UPS. I order from Summit, and the next day it's on my doorstep. Lucky I guess.

AARRRGH!!!!!!!! The idiots did the same thing again as described above!!!!!
This time they managed to destroy 2 boxes and likely 1 more. They called and gave me the exact same crap. Needless to say they got quite an earful. Someone else is supposed to be calling me tomorrow and you can bet they will get it worse. FedEx here I come!!! ------------------ SVO siamesed 351 stroked to 417ci,Yates heads, solid roller,Trans King glide and a little blue bottle of giggle gas. My Car |

FedEx doesn't do anywhere near the volume of UPS so i guess they should be able to keep track of what they have a little better. Also UPS uses alot of part time and seasonal workers.
