Pictures?

I'd pull all the stero stuff out, because that money isn't coming back to you any other way.

You got raped on the exhaust dude. Take out the stereo and charge $6000-6500. I would pay absolutely no more! It's your loss on the paint, because if you took it back off, you really couldn't sell the car! Stereo equipment also might be big to you, but the next guy might not give a **** about a $4000 stereo system and why should he pay more for the car because it has it!? Same thing I say when people put on body kits they think it raises the value of the car, but it actually DROPS it!

Straight from Kelley Blue Book (kbb.com):

The following parameters were used:

- My zip code (Columbus, OH)
- Private Party Sale
- Excellent condition
- 80,000 miles
- LX HB w/5.0 V8
- 5 speed
- Air Conditioning
- Power Steering
- Power Windows
- Power Door Locks
- Cruise Control
- AM/FM Stereo
- Cassette
- Premium Sound
- Alloy Wheels

Total Private Party Value = $4,875

Now, with the new paint, good stereo equipment and an eager buyer that is looking for something just like this you may be able to snag $6,000 for it, but I would guess more like $5,500.

Default Thanks

thanks for the help guys, the car isnt mine I was thinking about buying it from a guy who has to move to an unpleasant part of the country and NEEDS to sell in in two weeks. My plan is to make some money on the quick resale. I'm just trying to figure out what to offer.

PS. it has been brought to my attention that the exhaust inclueds headers, and cats and all were bought in Canada where the owner was origanally from which is sure to jack up the price. Im sure that why the numbers are a little high. but thanks for the help.

Dude, he's quoting you all those costs in $CDN.

That sounds reasonable for all those parts, since $1500 CDN = $10 US.

So, if I bid $1 and everyone else overbids, does that mean I win by default?

HA HA HA.

$1,500 for an exaust is actually very good. I was quoted an H-pipe at $650.00 + tax + install (if I didn't do it myself).

KBB is always a good indication (or atleast the guy that might buy it from you could always check it out).

Make sure it is not in Canada, sometimes customs and stuff is a real pain in the ....
