Cool A day at the office.......

The attached photo was taken at the airfield, Bagram, Afghanistan. It is not a fake or composite. The C17 is really taking off while the Army engineers are working on the runway in the fore ground. Great shot, thought yall might like it. Note the mountains in the background, no wonder we're having difficulty finding the bad guys. Wanted to post it on Memorial Day....

Wow, that's a great pic... those mountain ranges are pretty tough!

Default C-17 specs

From a U.S. Air Force factsheet:

The design of the aircraft allows it to operate through small, austere airfields. The C-17 can take off and land on runways as short as 3,000 feet (914 meters) and only 90 feet wide (27.4 meters). Even on such narrow runways, the C-17 can turn around using a three-point star turn and its backing capability.

Thumbs up

That picture is nuts man. I am going to make that my desktop at work (replacing a Bullitt). Actually I am just trying to move this thread up so I find it easier in the morning.

Keep up the good work over there. I'm sure y'all will find those b**tards soon enough.
