Cool Got one of my friends to switch sides!

My friend Jason was a hard core chevy guy, has stacks and stacks of chev hi-performance and Super Chevy mags and has owned many Chev Muscle cars in the past. He went with me to the street legals on Friday night and the bug bit him hard! He needed a car that he could still drive daily and be reliable but his daily driver Cavalier Z24 wasn't giving him what he wanted. He phoned me yesterday and told me that he was picking up his 99GT 5 sped today!
I couldn't believe it, I let him ride with me for two runs and he knew that he needed a car that he could run too. He let me drive it and I must say that the 99up cars are a huge jump up from the 96's. Needless to say we'll both be back at the track on Friday!

Congrats... I turned my best friend on to another friend that was selling a sweet Stang. My friend liked stangs, wasn't hardcore GM,. but owned a firebird previous. When he totalled his firebird, he bought this stang... I'm jealous, actually... it blows my doors off!!

I did the same a little while ago. He was looking for a chevy, till I drove my '66 up to him when he was looking at other cars. He fell in love with the rumble of the car. So when I got back from DG, he went and bought a '96 GT Midnight Metallic Blue. I fell in love with the color, and I'm now thinking of painting mine this color. What do u think?

I wish my friend Chad would have at least stayed domestic but he had wanted a Firebird so bad and we even went and looked at a few and I almost had him talked into buying a mustang. Well he got a different job working at a local Hyundai, Nissan, VW dealership and he bought a 98 or 99 Honda Civic Si.
I dont know how he could've went from a firebird to a glorified golf cart. Anyway he keeps telling me that by this July he'll be able to kick my butt in a street race, My 4 cylinder yeah but not my GT or my BF's GT.
He also has the ricer attitude to match his car. Yikes!!!

That color would look swwweeeeeettt on a 66 mustang! I say do it! I was considering that color for my 82 but I would've had to change my username

I'm thinking of adding more clear coat then normal, to make it look almost black at night, and in the day, u can see depth in it.

Gotta love a nice thick clearcoat, I think it would be cool if you had your painter float some pearls into the first coat of clear with that color, it would be almost black in low light and would look just wicked with light shining directly on it. If you do it definitely send me some pictures!
When I'm no longer a broke college student the first thing I'm going to do is a frame off resto and show quality paint job (hopefully )

i know some guys from the chevy j-bodies car club here and they all love the sound of a 5.0 mustang and several are looking at mustangs as a second car. some of the mustangs are just beautiful, and the old ford pick up at (big ******* block)1200hp (with out the stage 3 nitrous kick in) is a site too behold..

Smile hey another person for the lower mainland

nothing as good as your car there red82gt, just a plain old white 81 mustang, but i'm looking at a new car and rebuilding the mustang slowly and well. no haven't be to mission yet (as my mustang is off the road thanks to a really mechanically uneducated cop(nothing against others cops just that one)). but i hope to get out there soon and see some races. i know a couple of j-bodies that run the 1/4mile there. you go out there often and do you know when the next street races are set?

There's street legals tomorrow night and the next two fridays as well. I'll be there tomorrow night to try out my Edelbrock RPM intake I just put on tuesday night (this was the last thing holding my car back, it's feeling pretty fast now). If you can make it out, chances are my car will be the only red 82 GT there (it's been the only one the last two times I've been out) come by and say hi.
