Unhappy had to use my gt as a snowplow today

we got about 3 inches of snow today, i left work & drove home, i was worried because most of these peep's dont know how to drive in snow, it took me 1.5 hours to go 34 miles, geez it wasnt a big deal, the roads where clear, i used to live in michigan, so snow is nothing, got stuck halfway in my driveway, but no biggie, hope i can make it out to go to work tomorrow, or else i dont get paid for monday, mlk day, lol.

Snow is fun to play in and to look at... but I would never move somewhere where it snows.... I like to keep the underneath part of my car NOT rusted!

We went to the Hockey game in Knoxville during the worst part of the storm last night.

Of course the old Bronco does good in it but we passed like 10 stuck Mustangs, geez. Also were alot of stuck Rangers. Those two type of vehicles made up the majority of stuckies.

Glad to see snow for a change around here!

3 inches and you're pushing snow!! Have you seen stock mustang suspension!

I have plowed snow in my 82 Camero in High School. We got nearly 3 feet in just a few hours. The snow was coming over on to the hood of the car!

Default Inspiration

I have 1 car and it's my mustang. I drive it everyday to work in tons of snow and ice and slush and icky stuff... It actually does alot better than my jeep did, because it's so heavy. I use to go sailing through stop signs in the jeep. The Mustang stops good, it just doesn't like to GO. Which is VERY annoying...But, all in all, I'm rather impressed by my car.

It breaks my heart to have to drive my car in the snow. Due to circumstances I cannot buy and insure a suitable beater right now for the daily 100-mile commute.

We've only had one or two really bad storms this year in western PA, but a lot of the PITA inch or two per day stuff.

It's funny that you mention the Rangers, mustangII460. The last bad storm we had, we got about eight inches right before rush hour and it caught the salt crews with their pants down. I was following a 2WD Ranger that day and we were easily the two having the biggest problems. I tried to leave some space between us so I could keep momentum, but he slowed so bad going up about a 6% grade that we both almost got stuck. Inched my way up that hill sidewinder style...and wanted to pull over for a cigarette once I got to the top!

Where I go to school, we get 200+ inches.........

Needless to say the Stang is in storage right now, and I hitch a ride in my girlfriends car all the time.

I do love the snow, though.

Wow, I have the exact opposite problems with my car. It's waaay too light and fishtails all the time.... Slide on ice, can't get up hills, driveways, etc... When I go, my tires just spin and spin.. Glad to hear someone can drive the stang in the snow... I have a truck I pull out when the snow and ice hit Chicago. We got missed by the snow this time, just a few flurries but nothing too bad. It's sooooooooo cold here though... It hasn't been above freezing in days.

Awww, MissBlondie, I'm sorry to hear that. My tires are studded to the high heavens AND that makes a HUGE difference. I had a jeep wrangler to compare my car to. My jeep was super light so it slides BAD! Even with studs. My car feels like a tank compared to that.

Funny thing is everyone picks on me for driving a mustang up here, but I've never gotten stuck or had an accident. I sure do see A LOT of little imports and such flipped and stuck, though.

I'm sorry, I misrepresented myself. I lived up here so long I forget some things aren't known down in the lower 48. I was kind of referring to the state and not myself inparticular.

I always put my car away once it starts getting cold (October) and keep it stored until spring (March). God I hate winter....Oh yea, the high today is supposed to be 19 woot!
