Ford Manuals
Hey.
I have a: 1993 Ford Mustang LX Convertible Automatic. I am looking for a user guide and repair manuel for the specific type of car I have. Where would I be able to purchase these? Also I am having a problem when my car idle's. It stalls. It turns on fine revs it self to about 1500 then falls to 0. If I keep it rev'd it stays on fine, but when I stop it likes to drop quick. Now I don't really mind but since I do a lot of street driving I need to stop for lights. I am also looking to get my car converted to a standard and put some NOS on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot -Donald Please post a reply or email me at: dbw@magentica.cx |

Mustangs Unlimited (800-243-7278) has owner manuals for '93 @ $24. each.
They also have the complete 1993 Mustang Service Manual for $120. Heres a link to the website: www.mustangsunlimited.com Your stalling problem may the IAB and/or the TPS. Remove and clean the IAB and check the TPS for proper voltage and operation. A new TPS is about $35. from Ford. A new IAB is about $100. but they can often just be cleaned to get them functioning properly. Converting to manual is a $2,000. + project. The best way is to get a wrecked Mustang 5.0 with a manual and use all the parts from that, replacing the clutch and other parts that need replacing. Nitrous Oxide (NOS is a brand name) is easily available at many aftermarket suppliers. Get a copy of any Mustang magazine and they will have tons of ads for various nitrous oxide systems. I suggest you not go for too big of a shot on a stock engine. |

Thanks for the help. I found the manuals I am looking for. As for the conversion to a stick, I think I will take a look at buying a beat up 5.0 =) Might end up saving some money there =)
Thanks again -Donald |
