10 yrs this month
Well, its been 10 years this month since I bought this 5.0. I remeber my mom giving me a mustang mag right after I bought it. I was 22. Man, the memories! I don't think you could say a name in 5.0 history I don't recognize.
I guess this one is a life partner. We've been though alot and I've done alot to her. She left me walking once to remind me not do things which I know not. She was nice enough to leave me within a blocks walking distance too. I really believe she has an entity. ------------------ Rick My 89lx(updated 2/21/2001) My 97 Cobra |

I've had other cars before, but my Mustang is the first car that I've owned that wasn't a "bic" (drive it till it breaks, then get another one). If and when something goes wrong on this car I'll fix it or replace it and go on. My goal is NOT to be one of those guys that had the car he wanted then sold it. (My dad USED to drive a AMX)

Bought my 87 notch new in 1986 - 14 yrs and 49,000 miles later it goes faster, stops and handles better and looks nicer than the day I drove it off the lot - Much like you guys, I plan to keep this one for the long haul and not let it join the list of cars that I wish I still had.

49,000 miles?? WOW. If I had a Stang for that long I guarantee you it would have closer to 500,000 miles on it by now.
I'll bet it looks sweet. ------------------ Indiana Stangers Association Buy your parts here |

Yeah,it still looks real nice - has one of the better factory black paint jobs I've ever seen which is amazing for an 80's car. Driven only on nice days and has been stored every winter since new - treat it better than I treat myself. Will post some pics one of these days.
