Talking Refurbishing Fox Body Door Panels

After grumbling about the chintzy vinyl pieces of junk that Ford called door panels up to 1993, I decided to repair the pieces where time had not been too kind!

I took out the old fuzzy tweed and rough carpet, and replaced it with tough, durable denim-type black material, and sewed a pony design into the upper panel. What do you think? Look good, or should I stop before I get my paws on the second panel

Last pic...I have to order black speaker covers, and maybe new armrests.

I think it looks great!! I hope you don't mind, but I've been looking for a cheaper way to make my door panels look better, than just replacing them, and I may just use your idea.

Those look nice Belle! Is that what normal fox panels look like. It doesnt look like you had very good ones to begin with. I guess I am lucky because i seem to have bought a car with a still nice interior. I will have to post pics when we get a digital camera.

Good job!

Later,
Nick

Hmm...that would probably be due to the fact that the car is from 1988, and the previous owner invested more money into keeping the car running mechanically EXCELLENT instead of "beauty treatments".

That could be why! Probably better that way anyways. I got a car with a nice interior but with a crappy cooling system that i had to replace and a leaking rear main seal (which isnt fixed yet BTW)
