You know how I feel about most of your "friends" Mike.
I do get out but it doesn't seem to get me anywhere.

Dude, when I was younger I would go out to a batting cage, that always made me feel better. Just get out and do something!!

Let me tell you about a few times I got out of the house because well... I just had to.. I met someone that I didn't realize liked me and we dated for a while after that... I went to a club, with friends and got drunk and walked right up to 2 beautiful blondes who where dancing together and tapped one on the shoulder and said "Damn, I'd like to get in the middle of that and I spent the rest of the night with one ground against me from the front and one rubbing all over me from the back(no luck on taking them home though HEEH.. I tried!!).. Last time I wasn't even looking to hook up and I had a few to choose from... if you can believe that! I woke up next to a chick that looked just like Kim Bassinger!!! She was just getting even with her boyfriend, I found out later but we did "hook up" again after that night.

Depression.. man just get out there and mix! If you happen to "hook up", it will snap you right out of it(take my word for it). Oh and... you're not going to meet anyone unless you get out, that is how it happens.

I used to just get faced, but that never helped. Go out and do something, even if it's just by yourself. Go to a movie, or go away for a weekend. You need to break your routine.

Or just get faced, but trust me, it won't help.

Take care,
ÅChris

Default Rbatson2's a bad boy! :)

Hey Sandman....Pull a little action like Rbatson2. May not be what you usually do, but, it may be fun. Burning the rice is fun too! I usually put on the "CD of the month" and drive to a coffee place on a main strip and get a Mocha. Sit and watch/listen to the cars race. Keeps me out of trouble, but I get to live vicariuosly for a bit! Raining season it's nearly the same, but go to the Mall. I'm a people watcher so it's all good!

It really also depends on what has you down friend. Maybe you could PM a trusted gentleman here and ask for his candid advice. Just don't hurt yourself Boss....No one here wants to see/hear about that....

First understand that its not unusual to be down ... everyone gets down ... sometimes its for a reason ... sometimes its at random ... sometimes its deep and profound ... sometimes you hardly notice it ... sometimes it lasts a long time ... sometimes it passes quickly .... its part of life, we all share it. You gotta move on, keep occupied, break the routine but most of all don't dwell on it ... think about the things that make you happy and don't dwell on the things that don't.

Cause : broke up with my first love, who I thought I would marry in the future. Now I'm not sure what she feels about me.... we aren't on good terms at all, haven't been for the last 2 months.

If you would have been a woman i'd say 95% chance it involved a man ! I think the first lost love is the worst ?
Gettin your heart broke ranks probably right at the top of the crappy feeling list .... even above sea sickness and oral surgery !
It feels like the end of the world. It feels like its never gonna get better, like life will never be the same again. Believe it or not .... it will pass and life will be just as good as it ever was and there will be another love that fullfills you just as much as this one did. I know it don't seem like it at this point but ask anybody thats ever had their heart broken (every human being alive at one time or another !!) and they will tell you it passes and happyness returns ! But you have to stop thinkin about it !! the more you think about it the crappyer you feel and the crappyer you feel the more you think about it ...its a vicious spiral ... step out of the vortex and the sun will come back out !

I know things are going to get better, I just don't know how.
We were entirely engrained in each other's lives, and this was True Love. I can't really explain the reason (it's personal), but this wasn't just anyone that I love...
So no matter how hard I try to NOT think about it, I am reminded when it is shoved back in my face.

Man I know exactly what your feeling, and I'm sure alot of people know what I mean. It's the worst feeling. I went threw the same thing. I never knew I could live without what is now my ex-gf. She was my first love aswell, and taught me how to love. She taught me everything that has made me what I am today. It's extreamly hard, and I promise you it'll get better, don't do anything stupid! I know the feeling and you feel like just finding a quick solution. Just stop and relax, I find the best thing is talking about it. Let it be some stranger, or someone you can trust. If you want to relieve some stress, beat the **** out of a pillow, or go for a cruise. It's the worst feelings in the world but things will get better, I know you are thinking he doesn't know my situation and which I do admit I don't. But I felt the same way, and I'm sure we have all been at the point. Just go minute by minute. Just think how amazing she was, and if she isn't the right one, then how amazing the person that is right for you will be. Hang in there bud, it'll get better from here on it. If you need someone to talk to me pm.

Take it easy,
§am.

Hey man, i just wanted to chime in and say that everyone else has got it pretty close. i feel that you have to stay strong, and let it run its course. that's the only thing you can really do without hurting yourself more.

i almost left my fiance after i found out about a couple of very bad events from a couple years ago. and it was about 2 months ago that i found out about this stuff, and we talked, and i decided to stay. but even now, when i think about it at all, i just feel like going outside, and roaring like an animal, and trying to tear a tree out of the ground. of course, i'm kind of like that, so...

i always find someone i can trust to talk to, and try not to be alone. the worst thoughts run through your head when you're alone, so being alone is bad. even when it feels like the best thing for you. i've been there, and it was either spend time with friends and try to deal, or go psycho and break things and punch holes in walls. i finally got tired of fixing and replacing stuff, so i've started opting for the friends instead. maybe you should too.

Good luck man, i really hope you feel better. and remember, life is a series of experiences, twists, and turns, and this is but one. it's not the end. that which does not kill us makes us stronger. or at least really pissed off. lol

Eric

lol Thanks man, I know exactly what he went threw, and I spent alot of time on this board trying to recover and I thank alot of you who helped me out threw the rough times. I learned so much about how life will always go on, no matter what happens. Although it doesn't seem like that, just think you were able to live without her before, you can do it again. It'll just take time. And who even knows maybe you two need time away, try taking a break and see what the future holds. Time will only tell.

Take it Easy,
§am.
