Default Paint Job

On my way home from getting a cell phone I noticed a classic body shop (Classic Studio Custom Auto Body, or something like that) anyways. I decided to stop and check to see how much it would be to get my baby painted. $8,000 - $9,000!!! That's more than the car's worth.

So, I guess I gotta keep looking, or wait till I can afford that.

Still gotta get all the new chrome pieces for it. (New or rechromed, depending on the part.)

The guy had a Chevy there that he just finnished painting, waiting for the guy to come pick it up. It was EXACTLY what I want. Purple irradesant, the kind where you change your position and it changes color. It was NICE!!! His was $12,000. (Body work)

Anyone know of any good places I could get my baby painted?

Thnx!

(I haven't been on here much lately because I've been busy w/ "work." Should be better for a while tho. Come Dec. and Jan. tho I'll be gone again. Anywho, it's nice to be back. )

What's up stranger? Figured you fell off the world again. Glad to see you're still alive, though.

Now then, what's thing you're calling "work"? I thought you didn't do that.

Explain yourself, girl.

Take care,
ÅChris

I can look, but they will all be shops down here. The biggest thing about painting is the prep, and if you did it yourself, or got Mr. Girl to, then it would cut the cost down quite a bit.

'llo there,

Yup, I fell off again, but I found my way bad. Aren'tcha proud. hehe

Anywho, "work", ya, I've been busy doing things for Earle. Mainly I'm attached to the phone. I can't even go downstairs to check the mail, or do a load of laundry w/ out missing a call. And when I miss a call it usually means we play phone tag for a while. So, I gotta carry my cell w/ me EVERYWHERE. Rather annoying. Passes the time @ the bank or postoffice tho. (Games)

Anyway, recently the phone calls have been for concrete for the building we're building on my mothers ranch. Yesterday we got excited. Ready mix cement (those bid cement trucks) run 60 - 80 a yrd, I found a place that is only 47 a yrd (52 w/ tax). So we got excited about that. And my mother knows the company (I've driven past it a few times) and she trusts it. So, once we find someone to build the foundaion, they can come pour the cement.

My car's running great!!! Still has a power stearing leak tho. Asked a friend who has a '66 if she had those probs, she said yes, that she just took the power stearing out.

My car's running great, but I don't get to drive it much anymore. Earle doens't have a working car to drive, so he drives mine. Next weekend he's ganna work w/ a friend to get one of his 924 Porsche's on the road. (It needs breaks, new gas lines and some work on the driver door, [it sticks, and the window won't work]) Anyways...

The next thing we plan to do for the Mustang is to get it painted. It has a few dings in it, and we still haven't fixed it since it got rearended. We have the money, just haven't taken it in. Once Earle has a car, we'll take it in. And then I'll be w/out my car, again. hehe For painting it, we gotta take off all the chrome and it only has a few dings, 2 I think, 1 small pin pric of a rust hole on the door and 2 stress cracks.) The paint needs to be stripped too.

Anywho.....that's all for me for now.

Take care everyone.

Well, if you can find someone who will do what I want for less than 8 - 9,000 and they're in Cali, and you trust em. I can drive it there.

If it's worth the drive, I'll be more than happy to drive my car there.

And I'm ganna continue to look for somewhere near here. I'll probably seriously start looking on Monday. I don't have time to do it today.

Another thing, if anyone cares, I've always loved rain, but last night made me hate it. It was pouring last night, plus w/ the freeway on the other side of the street, w/ the big rigs, and planes flying over (airport about 2 miles away) w/ all that, I could NOT get any sleep last night. This morning tho, when I went down the warm up my car for Earle (fiance) it was still raining, but it wasn't annoying anymore, and it was a LOT warmer than it has been in a while. (In the morning) So, it was nice. :-) Earle parked under a tree last night, so the car was COVERED in leaves, that sucked... (Plus there's a pepper tree just around the cornor from where he parked [in front of the building] there were peper seeds, and shells all over it) It looked rather funny. Anyways.....

Wow. Hmm ok. So, I guess 8-9,000 is VERY expensive. hmmmm... Hmmm. The chevy that just got finished when I was there was 12,000. At least, that's what the guy told me. Now that you've told me your price, I don't I trust the guy. Of course, I didn't trust him too much from beginning.

He answered the phone in german anytime someone called.
