Arrow Okay, it can stop now

I've seen enough rain. I now remember why I don't like it, and would like to put in this official request for it to stop.

In the 24 hours leading up to midnight last night, my little town of Ventura received more rain than we had in the 16 months prior. I know that's nothing to most of you, but it's a big deal here. So, in an attempt to get things here back to normal, I have written a letter to God. I haven't sent it yet, and since I'm not very religious, I thought I would first post it here so I could get some feedback. I don't want to piss her off.

Dear God,

This is just a note to say thank you for the rain. I don't know that we needed 5 inches of it in 24 hours, but I've always heard you were generous. I'm sure you had a good reason for only giving us 4.5 inches of rain in the 16 months prior to yesterday, but you have more than made up for it.

My truck is now clean, our reservoir is full, and our hills will be green. I know I speak for many when I say "thank you, but enough is enough". As you may have forgotten, those of us that live in So Cal don't plan for rain. Maybe if it came more often on a regular basis, things would be different, but when you only give us rain on 15 out of 365 days, it seems silly to plan out "rain dates". In fact, most people that live here have never even heard of rain dates, which as you know, are alternative dates for events in case they are rained out. This whole "rain" thing is screwing with our daily routines, and creating utter havoc among the locals, so I am formally asking for you to stop. Please. No more rain, okay?

So, please accept our thanks, and have a nice day.

Take care,
~Chris

P.S. Don't forget to take your rain with you.

We had rain for 2 weeks and then sun for 2. Oh goody, more rain tonight. I'm sick of rain. Unfortuneately we have a lot of rain this time of year after being dry all summer. I need to send a letter too. .

lol Let me know what he says back k Chris? I feel no pitty for people who get rain 15 out of 365 days a year. Try living up here in Canada. We get a thing called snow...God can take the snow while he's taking your rain.

Its when water falls from the sky, and doesn't just hang around making everything sticky and it hard to breathe like where you live.

I swear I thought I was in a Sauna the whole time I was in Florida.

You're on the wrong side of "The hill"

I thought you knew that. We may have seen less than HotRoddin did down here, haven't checked up on the STORM WATCH lately.
