Need an artist and a genius for $$$$
I have been searching for the best aftermarket manufacturer of Ford Mustangs. I need an an artist and a genius. Here's the proposal. I want to take a 1966 GT Convertible body and add it to a 2003 Mustang. I am not the least bit savy when it comes to working on cars. All I have is a dream and an unlimited source of funds to create this masterpiece of technology and style. If anyone knows of a person, a company, or the most capable restorer, refinisher or magician who can make this happen, they will be duly rewarded. Thanks.

Wow!! Wish I was a little better at body work than I already am. Now if you need a car sprayed I can do that really well given the proper facilities. Sounds like an interesting project you'll have to post pics.

Unlimited funds, huh? Hell, I'll take a whack at it.
Seriously though, I saw an article a few months back in MM&FF that got me to thinking about this. The company took a Cobra and completely chopped it in half legnth wise. They widened it by 6" in the front and 8" in the rear. No bondo was used, everything was welded. The company was out of California. Ready for the kicker? I can't remember the company name and I no longer have the magazine. If anyone has back issues on here they may be able to help. You could also try a search on MM&FF's site for the article.

I have the answer!
I am at work right now, so I don't have the guys information. Up in Oakland works a guy who built a '32 style hiboy with Ferrari pieces. The car is absolutely gorgeous and hauls absolute A**. I'll get his name and info for you by 7pm PST today. The car is on the cover of an Autoweek I have laying around. I can even send you that issue if you would like. I do recall that his family has been building custom cars for generations.
Sounds like a sweet idea for a ride man.

I found a link for the article I was referring to in my last post. The pictures are a little small, as would be expected, but I think the text is the same. Hopefully Autoweek doesn't move the article around for a few days. The builders name is Steve Moal, and the shop is called Auto Metal Works. If he can do that well with a Ferrari, I would trust him with just about anything. Hope this works out for you.

There was an article a couple of years ago in one of the Stang magazines where a shop took an SN-95 front end and attached it to the back half of a hatchback style fox body. Does anyone else remember that? That guy may have even been in Florida. I will have to dig through my old magazines.

Found It
The magazine is the June 1998 issue of Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords. Volume 11, number 6.
It is an 88 and 95 mustang combined and I think it looks pretty sweet. The shops are called Miracle Auto Body and Master of All Shades and are located in Newark, NJ. Their is no number given for the shops, but hopefully the names are the same and numbers can be looked up. Hope this can be of help!
