Dodge Tomahawk

Call it an engine on wheels. Better yet, call it a big engine on wheels.
Dodge may just get the honors for the vehicle that generates the most buzz at the North American International Auto Show with the Tomahawk, a concept "car" that features a 500-horsepower V-10 on a motorcycle body. The Tomahawk can go 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds and tops out somewhere over 300 mph.

The Viper-powered Dodge Tomahawk concept vehicle shatters all the barriers of conventional thinking about personal transportation. This four-wheel, single-passenger vehicle is a sleek, rolling sculpture that combines art-deco styling with extreme engineering. Heh. Yeah I've seen that before. I think the people down at Dodge have just a lil bit too much time on their hands and too many spare V-10's. I'd gladly take on off their hands for them. A V-10 Polara.

I love going fast, but 300mph on a bike... I'm pretty sure everything is a blur around you. If you hit a rock or even if a bug hits you it's going to be like a bullet. But all in all, that is one damn sweet bike, and would be one hell of a ride.

Question: 500hp V10=8mpg? where is the gas tank? i think if you rev it a couple of times, it will run out of gas!

wouldnt it flip you over if you did rev it?

Reminds me of the mythical story where the guy strapped a JATO to his car to see what would happen and ended up smahing himself into the side of a mountain.

As former keeper of the officaldarwinawards.com website, I can tell you it is 90% myth. There is a real story, but nobody was in the car, and it wasn't a 67 impala, and it wasn't in Arizona. Sadly, I lost the link to the real story, but the so-called "Darwin Award winner" version was untrue.

If you don't believe me, visit the Arizona Highway Patrol website. They have a page dedicated to that story - and officialy state it never happened.
