Porsche Boxter
Hey, I drove my friends Boxter Tonight. It is a '99, low miles and is an NA. I was very impressed with the way the car handled and the driving position. I had an opportunity to "get on it" too.
But, I must admit, I will keep my Mustang. The Boxter was way too slow...no go! I expected much more. But, I guess they made the car to handle. I also prefer the overall driver position of the stang and the feel of my car. Hard to explain. If the two cars were in my driveway, I would prefer to drive the Mustang...and I am not just saying that.

ROFL!!
If you must have a porsche but can't afford it.. there sits a Boxster. May as well get a miata. I loved the Z3 when it first came out, I wanted one.. until I drove a friend's. It reminded me of an old spitfire my cousin had. |

Not Miata
I think they are a few notches above the Miata and do cost twice as much (?). I've raced a couple on the street and they don't really come close to me. Even the "S" model, Then again, the Boxters are not in the 911 price range either. My bet is that they do handle reasonably well. Just my observations.

True, it was a harsh comparison but after driving that Z3 that's the impression I got from those 3 cars (Z3, Boxster, Kompressor). I know the fit and finish has to be nice and I'm sure its a nice car but its just not my taste. I bet the women love it though.
