Default Bored, again.

Just thought I'd pop in and say hi. I'm in school and should be studing, but I'm really bored and don't know how much I can read off of a screen anyway.

I am now the proud owner of an 1984 GT Turbo car, that has been converted to a 302(*read* hack job), with a SROD (not a Top Loader like I was told, but whatever.) I just got a new intake on the car and blew a head gasket. It's carb'd and tuning is a bit challenging, but that's what makes it fun, right?

I took it to the local 1/8th mile track last week and ran a 9.407, don't know that MPH causse the timers weren't working right. But I had a short time of 1.97, not too shabby, for $500. I hadn't changed a thing on it, and I have to say it's pretty solid for the little bit I paid for it. I'll post some pics of it soon, just keep in mind that it's a $500 car, ok? Not too pretty to look at. Well, time to go back to studing. I'll post again sometime soon. Later.

Thumbs up Welcome to MW

Hi - and welcome to Mustangworks!

FYI: Your 1/8 mile et translates to a 14.67 in the quarter mile. Not too shabby at all for a $500. 'hack-jobbed' Mustang.
Sounds as if it has real potential. Good luck with it - and come back soon with more info and whatever.
