Top Loader or T-5?
I bought an 85 GT with a Top Loader. I don't know whether to keep it or sell it. I know that I will want the overdrive eventually, but I don't know if I want it right now. What is your opinions? The car will see drag strip duty, but will also be a cruiser. I just don't know.
Thanks. Later.

I would throw away the top loader, (In my yard.)
I would rather have the top loader anyday. Esp if your draging. Let me know if you want to sell it. |

Are you sure it's a top loader and not a SROD?

The toploader is a much stronger tranny. If it really is a toploader, keep it! But if you're going to give it away, and you don't want MustangII460 to have it, I suppose you could ship it up to me.

from what I hear the toploader was what the Tremec's were designed after, so keep it

I just don't want be driving this thing down the road and not have an overdrive, you know? If anyone wants it, it's for sale, or trade(preferred) for a VERY good T-5. It is a Top Loader, by the way. I made sure of it. Had one of my older friends look at it. He offered me 400 on the spot, which means he'll pay more for it, you know?
Anyway, Thanks for the opinions. Later.
