Question 302 block cast in '71

I hope I choose the right place to post this question. I am looking at buying a 302 and the guy tells me that he thinks it was cast in 71. Can anyone tell/help me with a little info about this one? Is this the sought after A4 block? Where did those come from? He is digging up the casting numbers for it as I am typing.....maybe I will have those before too long. Thanks, Jon

The A4 block was a Ford Motorsports ONLY offering. It was never offered in a production vehicle. Get those casting numbers.
