Default Time for another....

...update on Project: 2nd Coming!

It's coming along great. It should be ready for paint in about 2 weeks. A lot was accomplished the past few days.

On Friday I took a trip to Denver. There is a company there called Colorado Mustang Specialists, Inc. It's in Aurora, actually. This place was AWESOME! I first pull up and my draw dropped immediately. I saw a BEAUTIFUL Cobra sitting outside for sale. This thing is just awesome, it's a reddish-orange color, six speed, leather....boner. Sitting right next to it was a '95 GT that was a similar color, but a little more orange. It was also immaculate.

I walk inside and there sits a candyapple red '64 1/2 vert with a 260. Right next to it was a pale yellow '67 vert with a EFI 5.0. Along the wall there are a few engines. I walk up and look at them. They had a couple stock 5.0s with T-5s hooked up, a 5.0 out of a Cobra, and then I saw the 427--six pack, tunnel ram intake, aluminum heads, Cobra oil pan/valve covers... Ohhh....what a beautiful engine...

Anyways, this place was like a virtual catalog. They had EVERYTHING! They had a couple sets of Bullitt wheels on display, a reproduction shaker hood scoop setup on a 351W, all the literature on any Mustang you could possibly need, you name it, they had it. PLUS they have the "world's largest" Mustang salvage yard!!!

I bought a used windshield, used factory tinted door glass, stainless steel strip that goes on the rear of the door glass, new reproduction hood, wiring harness for my hood scoop turn signals, and new chrome windshield trim and rear window trim.

I got the hood sanded and primed and put it on the car. My dad finished up his repair of the quarter panel that I put pictures of on here a couple weeks ago. The guy who's painting it is putting the windshield in for us. We'll do the door glass ourselves.

All that's left is block sanding and minor bodywork. It's really winding down! Maybe in about three weeks or so I'll have a yellow car!
