Default Have you ever....

... come out of a store, open your car door, sit down, and maybe even start to put the key to the ignition when ALL OF A SUDDEN... "Wait a minute, something's wrong... "Oh CRAP!! This isn't my car!"

A friend of mine brought this to my attention at work just the other day. She said that her and a few friends were going out to eat and when they went to get in the car, she remote unlocked her door (or so she thought) and got in the car. She said she had all this stuff in the back seat and started pushing it on the floor, kinda moving out of the way so her friends could have somewhere to sit and she saw a soda can and thought "man, where did all this stuff come from, I don't even drink soda???" Then it HIT her. "Uuuuh, everybody stop. get out". ....Her car was about 3 cars down. They were laughing at her the rest of the day....Same color and everything.

My brother and I went to rent a movie and when we came out (this was a good amount of years ago, when we used to ride together in our dad's car) we both were talking to each other, got in a the car and he was about to crank it when both of us at the same time STOPPED and was like Oh crap this ain't our car. Man, we got out of it as fast as we could, got into our car and peeled out of there. Talk about embarassed!!!!!!!! Think about how stupid we would have felt if the own came out and saw us. LOL

Can't say I've done that, lol But there isn't many Yellow '69 Mustangs around here. lol I've tried unlocking a van once that wasn't mine. I was trying to unlock "my" van for a few seconds, after some extensive swearing at GM (Pontiac Montana Van) I relised I was the fool with the wrong van. lol But I still stick by my swearing at GM. lol

That's funny you mention this i have a few examples/stories:
My good friend in HS had an 89 LX notch, and i had a 91 LX hatch. I could unlock his doors with my door key, but not vice-versa

When i worked at firestone, i started several explorers with keys to other explorers and the remotes would sometimes unlock 2 vehicles at the same time.

I moved a Honda Civic blocking a bay door once with keys to another Civic with no problem (including unlocking the door) on accident. The guy was scratching his head as to how his car moved.

How'd she manage to start it? lol I hope they lock that old lady up for years. I know I would feel safer at night with her behind bars.
