Need to do a big smokey burnout in my 2.3. How???
Just planing ahead Well graduation is in a few months and my plans are on the last day of school to do a BIG smokey burnout in the parking lot. I'm gonna put my old 14" polyglass rims back on the back. They are 205/70/R14's.
No here's the problem, my car will barley spin em. It will go pretty good if I can get the tires spinnin good. What's a good way to break the tires loose, that won't hinder smoke production. Any type of lubrication that might work*snicker*

If you have a few months then you can experiment to find what will give you the best results. also back off the adjusters for the rear brake so you can hold brake down and just front will be holding car still.

Well, I used to do it all the time in my 2.3 with 265 60r 14.
If it a manual, then all u have to do is to rev it up then dump the clutch. A auto, well, have fun, use bleach.

Unhook your winshield wiper fluid hoses and rig up longer ones that you can run back to your rear tires. Have them rigged up in your fenders aimed at the tires. Put whatever fluid you want(bleach) in the fluid reservoir and when you are ready to do your burny, give the hose(s) a squirt and you will have fluid running down your treads giving you some lube to start spinning the tires. I've never done it, but it's an idea. Not sure if the winshield wiper pump has enough power to push fluid through that length of hose, but you could try.

Axle grease. Believe me this ain't new. I saw it in 1962 with a '48 Ford sedan (bone stock).
Leaves heavy black marks too. When I inspected those black marks, they were very "gooey". They were pure axle grease for 20 ' or so. All that from 100 HP in 3000 lb. car. Burn outs don't mean a thing, but if that's what you want, then go for it. Rev

Josh, do what bobtodd said. It works. the washer pump has enough pressure to pump the fluid to the back tires. It pump it with pressure through nozzles on the hood so just leave the hose at the rear tires open, no pressure what so ever and you'll have a real smokey burnout.

My dad told me about bleach too, thats how I found out about it. Trust me, he would know. But I've never done it myself, never needed to, even with my 4-cyl ranger 4x4, or my 4-cyl mustang.

I was under the impression that bleach softened the rubber, there for producing more smoke. But, softening the rubber also increases traction, I mean sometimes my car literaly won't spin cause it doesn't have enough power to turn the tire(and I'm talking about power braking)
