Question Need a new PC game to play

Okay, I beat Return to Castle Wolfenstein about 3 weeks ago. What's next?

I've already gone through the following:

Rainbow 6
all Half Lifes
Unreal
Quakes
A few Tomb Raiders (and that's enough. No more, please)
Max Payne

Oh I know. I'll continue through Insane (the off road game---REALLY cool and fun), but in the meantime, I need suggestions from you guys for the typical, high graphics, 1rst person shooter games. Any new ones? I know Max Payne and Castle Wolf. are the newest (i think).

Sounds like you've already got a good assortment right there. Now just start using their multiplayer capabilities and play online. It's a whole different world/game when you play against a server full of real people. I'd suggest Counter-Strike for Half-Life myself. I play that when time permits...

Yeah, but see the thing is is that I've just about worn out (and I mean REALLY worn out in the past few years) their online multiplayer capabilities and it has gotten a bit old to me (the maps, the techniques, etc). (when I REALLY wear something out, I need a long break from it) Going through single player games keeps new levels/ stages/ ideas b4 me and is something to look forward to. Just a small preference of mine. But I haven't messed with Return to Castle Wolf. online multiplayer games yet so I guess I could try that. Thanks. (crap I need get my lazy butt up and go change my rotors)

Diddo on Medal of Honor.

Also, the Urban Terror mod for Unreal T is pretty sweet.

If you're into driving games, I recommend Carmagedon II for kicks, and Driver for pretty darn realistic driving characteristics.

Not sure if you like RPG's, but if you do, here is a can't miss: Morrowind - part of the Elder Scrolls Series. If you're an RPG fan, this is the mother of all RPG's - at least that's what everyone is saying it's supposed to be.

Release date is Spring 2002 (probably in the next few weeks or so)

I've already pre-ordered mine from the website -> www.morrowind.com

I have DUES EX and it is too hard for me. Delta Force Land Warrior works good for me. Just bought motorcity online and I have to say so far so good.

GET MEDAL OF HONOR!!!

You will not regret it. I love the game. Play it with the lights out and the volume up...Way up...Its awesome. On the higher difficulty, the enemies can be pretty damn smart.

Default Say good-bye to your friends,family,co-workers..

When you get Everquest

Many servers of people to play with or against....

You can create your own character, venture to different lands, meet tons of people along the way, very addictive game..

I'm using my old computer for posting now as my hard-drive crashed on my AMD 1000,otherwise I'd be playing Everquest right now

www.everquest.com

Once you get started, you'll never see your friends,family,co-workers again cuz you'll never leave home, you'll be playin all the time..

Ok, maybe alittle overboard on that last statement, but it's Very addicting!

A few minutes after Sky suggested MOH, I downloaded the demo and beat it in about 2 hrs. It has AMAZING sound/audio to it, probably the best I've heard thus far. BUT, I there are a few things that irritate me about the game. It's not as "Free" of a game as HL and Quake. You are trapped or forced into going one way -- I guess that's the best way I can describe it. I kinda didn't like the way the during-game weapons menu was set up-- it was hard to change weapons quickly. When I run in the game, it doesn't really seem like running at all, maybe walking fast, but not running. Also, I had to really cut back on the graphics settings whereas with many of the games I've listed in my first post, I could just about max them out. There are a few other minute things, but overall seems like a great game. I may end up buying it. I'm gonna think about it first though.

I can definitely see myself playing just about any HL, Unreal, or Quake mods/add-ons so I will have to look into Urban Terror for sure.

Don't really like RPGs.

I have Deus Ex (it was free for me): the game is too complicated for me I don't like the how the players are controlled.

I've seen some friends playing Everquest and talk about how addictive it is, but from what I've seen, it doesn't look like my kinda game. Maybe I'll take a closer look someday.

Thanks guys.

You should try SPORTS CAR GT and also VIPER RACING. Thet have been out for a little while now but are still fun to play.
You can change the suspension/tires/engine etc.. and it simulates the changes you make. It's fun trying to get the perfect "setup" for each race.
