Rangers can with 7.5 and some with the 8.8 rear-ends..........By 9 or 10 do you mean the size of the brake drums?

All Rangers have 7.5's Except 1990 and up 4.0L engines.

The 7.5 rear cover is kinda flat across the top and bottom. Wheras the 8.8 is rounder looking.

Either way the tag on the cover will tell you.

It should say on the drum itself what size it is.
