Default Ready for paint!!! Ideas?

I'm taking the Coupe to the paint shop Sunday for the fabrication and paint (finally). I found a guy that does killer work, and is a Stanger himself. [Those of you who were at Deming Park with me for the Stangers meet might remember a guy by the name of Tony that had the black and yellow 84 GT and the blue and white Cobra replica that did his own paint work. He's the guy doing this car for me!]

The engine compartment has been stripped and everything that isn't a necessary engine compartment item is being deleted or moved. Every bolt, screw, and access hole is being welded and smoothed.

I have changed my mind a few times on the color of the car, and I think my wife has finally convinced me to get a bit flashy with the car. I was thinking of painting the top 1/3 charcoal gray or black, and the bottom 2/3 House of Kolors tangerine, with some small graphical stripe seperating the two colors.

What do ya think? (see attachment)

I think the stripe seperating the two colors will be enough to take the mind away from such thoughts. Similar to the way this car has been done...

Looks good, my wife wanted to paint our 2000 like that but silver and purple.

Just make sure you do the jams the same as the outside.

i'm not really a fan of anything 2-tone................

but i like the how the stripe blends a lot more in the pic of the modular than in the pick of the fox

Interesting.... not sure if I would go with that colour scheme.... but of course it is all personal opinion. Ever think of all orange with a black hood? just a though....

I'll more than likely just go solid Tangerine, then maybe later add some kind of design to it.

The car is being stripped down to the shell, and each part is being painted seperately. Whatever design I come up with before the paint is laid will be carried all the way to the interior of the doors and anywhere where metal will be seen.

Maybe I'll do some lightning bolts

Anyone have pics of Fox Stangs with cool designs?

Is that your lx with the photo chop paint scheme?

If it is, go with the oragne solid, and charcoal up the middle of the hood on the entire cowl piece. Will look like an old mach or '70 boss car. Sweet.

Cool 2FastLX is in the building..

2FastLX,

Ain't seen you here for a while, man, good to see you around. Glad you getting your car done right. Love the paint scheme on the 99+ stang, but don't think it looks quite right on the fox (only my worthless opinion ). My plans for paint on my car has changed a bit over the years. It's gone from pretty flashy,(multicolor concepts) to neat/plain/simple and solid colors. Just make sure you do what you absolutely want it to be concerning the color....

Pics of Fox stangs with cool designs?? Here ya go...
