Hey you said in another post that you were gonna retire you 84 LX to the salvage yard. Since your gonna scrap it anyway how much do you want for the front spindels, rotors, calapers, and master cyilender. I want to convert to 11" front brakes like the V-8 models had. 1984 LX 5.0 front brakes are the same as 1987 and up front brakes aren't they?

Hey Josh,

I'd love to help you out, but my '84 has the same brakes as yours (10"). Unfortunately Ford didn't decide to give mustangs bigger brakes until a couple of years later, so needless to say the braking isn't breathtaking at all.
Where do you live?
I'd be willing to sell you any parts....or heck, the entire car for a VERY low price - haven't really thought about selling it as a unit. (it runs and drives but has what i believe to be an odd/very bad and loud steering noise turning left). The HO 5.0L isn't a roller cam and it has 150k on the clock, but with the newer 600cfm Holley 4BBL and the Holley/Flowtech dual exhaust (headers, offroad-H, stinger cat-back and dynomax pipes) the thing scoots (it helps that it has a T5). It doesn't have an 8.8" rear, but it does have a 7.5" with traction-lok and tame 3.08 gears.....
I was going to have alot of the parts as crap in my shed to sell later or use as spare parts, so if you're interested that's cool, if not that's fine also.
I hope your car is ok from that accident, at least you didn't get hurt.

I would love to buy you car, but I live in Mississippi and you live in Washington. Do you want to sell the rims, if so, how much do you want for them? What kina of shape are they in?

Acually I'd like to buy to whole engine, but shipping costs would be a nightmare.

unfortunately i'm using those rims on my '89 GT for now as my summer wheels/tires and have another set for winter (pony wheels), so i can't really sell either of those. It's too bad you live so far away, oh well. There's always a bargain out there somewhere.
If you need anything like springs/sway bars my LX has a beefier front sway bar, has a rear sway bar (the 4 cylinders don't come with a rear bar) and all 4 heavy duty 5.0L springs. I also have 2 front springs that are 700 lb rated specific rate for road racing that are sitting around still in the box. I had a '91 2.3L mustang with GT suspension/polyeurethane bushings and new shocks/struts and that thing had such great handling balance it was incredible....for the week i had it installed before i wrecked it . I actually bought the 700lb springs a couple of days before i wrecked my car and just kept them because i specially ordered them from Racer Walsh.

ed. = i also have a double hump transmission crossmember you'd need to convert to dual exhaust (your car may already have it) and the h-pipe hanger bracket as well and a polyeurethane trans mount for a manual trans. (energy suspension).
Drop me a line if you can think of anything else,

Have you checked your inbox at the bottom of the main forums page? If you can't find it, i'll just retype it here.....this new board configuration is kinda confusing, but better.

here is a link to a link to access your private message inbox for this site:

Ok, i'll just type it again:
If you do want to go ahead and buy stuff from me, i have to tell you that it's all on the car right now and that i'll have to take it apart in my spare (but limited) time, then i can tell you when it's all apart and we can start a transaction or whatever if you decide you want to buy from me.
I was thinking for the T5 (which shifts smoothly and doesn't whine, has a SSM short shift handle and only 3,000 mile old synthetic fluid) with the pedal assembly and all related hardware/cable, clutch quadrant, including a polyeurethane trans mount and h-pipe hanger bracket $275 not including shipping.

For all the sway bars/springs i was thinking $150 for all of them without shipping. The 700lb front springs were over $100 dollars new and are still in the box, i will sell them for $50 for both. If you want the 700lb. springs with the stock rear springs and sway bars i'll sell you the whole thing for $175 without shipping.
I hope these prices are fair,
Enok Richard Haugseth aka 84LX89GT
