Some of the first pictures never worked for me like Rebel and others? I'm not sure what's up with that. I'll have to try back abit later.
Nice background JL1314. lol I don't even have my car as my background and the moment.

And that's a nice stang czstang1701! I love that colour.

And 88 Cobra where abouts are you from in Ontario?

§am.

My Background image won't fit so I'll have to do it after school when I got some extra time.

Most of you won't like it.

Keep in mind I have two monitors going, so taking a picture of my desktop shows both screens.

Take care,
-Chris

Talking

Here's my desktop right now. I'm actually running in 1600x1200 resolution, but here's the screen shot shrunk down to 600x400... The screen shot doesn't pick up the TV overlay picture in the bottom left, instead it just shows up purple, but that's actually where I'm watching cable TV in a window under Netscape 6 and under the Netscape 6 Email I have my Trillian list and Trillian IRC window.

I've always been a multi-tasker, but after installing OS X last October, I needed more desktop space. The graphics are so much better than they were in OS 9.1, that I, for the first time, enjoy enlarging my icons. That's how it started, anyway. I decided the time and prices were right to upgrade from a 17" to a 19" monitor, but soon that wasn't enough. I picked up a $5 video card and set it up so that I could use both monitors at the same time. With the video editing I sometimes do, I then decided to spend $50 on a 32 meg RADEON card. Now I can run and edit videos, have an open email window, read and reply here at MW, edit photos in Adobe, and more, all at the same time, with open windows for each, and room to spare. The two monitors act like one big one. As soon as my mouse pointer (or anything else) hits the left edge of my primary monitor, it appears on the right edge of my secondary monitor, etc. For example, at this moment, I have IE open on my primary, and my email software open on my secondary. While I was writing this, I received two emails, and can view them without having to move or minimize this window, and still have tons of room for other app's.

Basically, I just enjoy being able to see everything that I am doing, simultaneously, and still have my desktop in view. I enjoy not having to switch between windows to view something. I have my 19" set to 1280 x 1024, and my 17" set to 1024 x 768. I can take the 19" up to 1600 x 1200 (actually, the card supports 1900 x 1080, but that's for a widescreen monitor), but that's just a little small for me.

If you ever decide to try it yourself, be forewarned: it's addictive. I'm ready to reinstall that $5 video card and attach my 17" monitor from my G3 to it, for 3 concurrent monitors, but that's a little more than I need. For now.

Take care,
-Chris

{EDIT} For example, here's a desktop pic w/ email, IE, iTunes, and 3 videos at the same time, and I still have the regular desktop, with icons, visible, with room for more. Get it?

If you think I have a lot of icons, you should see just how much junk I really have installed on this beast!
