need help
guys, I need your help on this one, what are you supposed to do when you have ricers trashing your car cause you tell them the "truth" and they use their lies to kill ya..
ie: I say: "yeah, I juts dynoed 186hp/260tq, I think those are pretty great #'s for a stock car" then they say: "hey, I thought GT's were all hype and stuff, 186 aint that fast, my civic has 160 to the wheels, you're not that fast anymore," now, how do you beat that argument? 1) walk away 2) race him 3) try to open their eyes to the truth ?? haha, I'm stuck.. need help |

That charger was a badaz machine even after throwing a rod it stayed with a supra turb that took two hits of nitrous. I wouldn't want to hold a match up to that bottle to prove it is non-flammable though.

Stepping in BS
jetuomi:
The obvious answer to your question is B. Race him. You can't fight lies; anyone can say anything. You have to challenge him with a money race to shut him up. You just state the obvious; talk is cheap and anyone can throw around BS horsepower numbers Now, prove it. For cash. If he won't race or makes lame excuses, tell him to shut up about how fast his car is if he can't prove it on the road. When he's ready to race (and don't let him pull the old "I'll race you but my car runs crappy because blah blah blah). He runs you 100% or stay home. Meanwhile, every time the guy opens his mouth about his car just say: 'prove it'. Sooner or later he'll either race you or shut up. Either way, you win. |

This isn't really a rice thinng but a guy at my school has a 68 chevelle with a 350 that he just had dynoed. It is making 242 at the rear wheels but the whole time he has been claiming 450 at the crank. I asked him if he was disappointed and he still said he should be making 450 at the crank! I was surprised at this remark because he seems to know a lot about cars and he built the motor himself.

I'm going to have to try that, I'm not one to get all cocky and stuff unless really pushed to the limits, but I can see that working really well... |

I did mine on a comp, I think it was 320 engine-270 rear. This is what I was going to buy, but now I think I need a bigger cam, not too much though. it's for a 289.

Ricers should be spanked at every reasonable opportunity. And if you're not in your cars, then just slap the ricer around a little bit.
