Turbo civic SI kill......
Tonight standing in the paking lot like we always do, everyone was talking about this turbo civic that was gonna show, well he rolled up, and everyone including me stood around the hood, as he showed off his turbo that suposedly ran 13.9 with 5lbs of boost, and some guy was in the group telling me how he is gonna buy a honda accord with 650 FWHP (front wheels) and he was like "yea and its a daily driver" me being a easy going guy, i just shook my head yes and agreed lol.
I asked the civic drivier's friend, if he would run a mustang, they said which one, we pointed, and said that white coupe, he said yea, so we started up and went to a spot with our leader cars ahead making sure there was no traffic or cops, i rolled down the window and said "you go first since im on stickies" but we both went about the same time cuz of approacing traffic, i heard my e.t. streets scratch a little, and i was soo gone, i let off because it was clear he was beat, he did have a passenger, so about 50mph we went again, this time he hung even at my rear bumper with the 4 cylinders being forced to rev, it seemed like we were even, until he shifted, then he started falling back at least 2-3 car's, while i pulled all the way through 3rd. we went from a stop again, but same results, and i was gonna tell him good run, but upon arrival of the spot, it was surrounded bye cops, so i did a knock off move and turned around in front of them and left.

Man, wish I would have gone out and seen that, kind of sad when a civic with a turbo gets beat by a basically "stock" mustang.

Yea he told me today he was only behind bye 1/2 a car, but i swear when i heard him shift, he fell back more, hehe i could hear my exhaust screaming it was great.......they are telling me about this wrx that killed a couple stangs out there, im looking for that guy next.
fivepointoh, he probaly paid alot of money for that turbo kit, his car was nice though, and it might smoke a pullies and exhaust mustang if they underestimated him, I didnt really know i was going, i kind of just ended up there at the spot.

i've got a freind with a similar setup but this is a gsr integra... it has lots more torque than the si motor since its a little bigger... and he can easily beat "intake/pulleys/exhaust" mustangs out here... and he's running low boost on a stock motor....
but he never beats me.

Good Kill
So this guy spends $3,000-4,000 on a turbo(just guessing on the price, but I'm sure the aftermarket makes a killing on the ricers as well). What do you think he has in mind when he get's this thing installed? He's thinking he can hang with all of the 5.0s that used to dust him. Wrong! I love it, it would appear that he still can't hang with a fairly stock 5.0.

Nice job.
Two weekends ago I wittnessed a 99+ F150 extend-a-cab w/5.4L pull away from a seriously riced out civic. Priceless. When I saw it happen, all I thought was: How many times will it take for that guy (civic) to get dusted by 5,000+ lbs. trucks before realizing the true "performance" car that he has. Take care, E

It is quite funny... the problem i see with most ricers is that they dont know anything about how engines and cars work.. specifically, how to setup a car for drag racing...
i would say, that regardless of the car in question... if it is modified correctly for its intended purpose, it can succeed.. i have a mitsubushi minivan in mind, who would ever think that POS would run 10's in the 1/4 mile.. then be driven home 100 miles away.. well, this minivan exists.. and it will easily blow the doors off most high perf street driven v8 cars... now, i'm not saying there arent any v8's that cant beat him.. that would be stupid.. but what i mean is, that if it is done right, you can make a ricer fly. uncle ben ? or WD brand ? hahahaha

Yea if they would stop spending money on wings , body kits ,stickers and all the other stuff they put on their cars they would make things alot more interesting. I guess all we can do is hope they pull their heads out.

A while ago someone posted a clip of a twin turbo POS dodge caravan pulling on an SS camaro. Those things are out there. I would love to see one in person. I wish I had the kind of spare it take for someone to want to do something like that.
Also if you calculate the theoretical displacement for a 2.0 at 5 psi boost, it comes to an impressive 163 ci. Thats a ricer for you. Spend a few thousand dollars to have a little more than half the displacement a stock mustang has.
