Post Stereo.

Hey does any of you have pictures of your stereo system like Kenwood, Pioneer or any other you might put in.

What are some of the best systems to put in a Stang. Plus HOW can you
have 10 speakers in that car?

10 SPEAKERS??!!!?!?!

you mean you HAVE 10 or you WANT to put 10 speakers in your stang? i have a Kenwood in mine and i love it. i bought 5 1/4" Polk speakers for the front with 3/4" tweeters. it's a surprising diiference with the tweeters in there. i want to get better speakers for the back, and since my GT didn't come with a factory MACH system in it , i have to beef it up on my own. after the back speakers, i'll probly get an amp to get it even louder. but i won't over-do it because i don't wanna be one of those kids driving down the road who you can HEAR before you SEE.

i know it doesn't answer your qyestion heh, and actually i'd also LOVE to know how to get 10 speakers in the car too.

No need for 10 speakers. All's you need is two pairs of ADS separates (or MB Quartz), one for front, one for rear. Power them with a PPI amp and you should be good! They'll be expensive but definately worth the price.

I've got a Polk box with four 6x9's in the trunk running on a 2nd PPI amp. You can also look into the custom made Stealth Box for the Mustang. That will probably be my next purchase.

As for the head unit, I've had Kenwood but I'm thinking of going with Eclipse the next time around.

Red face

I thought I heard *somewhere* that their mustang had 10 speakers in it. I must have been a mistake.

SANDSGT: Why change up the face from a Kenwood to an Eclipse? I know some of the Kenwood products are very nice like the eXcelon. But I would not mind haveing a Pioneer . But all these brand cost some serious money.

I was thinking about Infinty speakers.. but I'm not sure about the face yet, or Amps.

Well Idunno bout 10 speakers myself in older ones...is the mach460 8 speaks? Old Mercedes had 10 some component sets with seperate woofers and tweeters would be sweet with beefed up ones in back like 6X9 Cerwin Vegas or Pioneers...Why exactly would you put 4 6X9's in trunk by the way? is it a hatch or trunk? Can't imagine hearing 6X9s from inside the trunk...As far as head units I would reccomend pioneer. I just put one in my Lincoln recently...its like the second model up with multicolor and detach faceplate...great power and I have driven down lumpy dirt roads and not skipped once. Crutchfield.com is the place to go

My box, subs, 2 amps, and front speakers probably added (combined) about 75 pounds. The sub box and amp are easily removable, I designed it that way to prevent theft or shed weight when I'm trolling for street races. That box accounts for 55 pounds with the subs and amp.
And yes it sounds amazing. Worth every penny and pound.
