MW oldtimers reunion thread!
Well its been a while since I've made it over to MW, and thought I would start a thread to see how all of the "oldtimers" that have been around the site for a while (or atleast used to be) are doin.
For me, I think since the last time I've been here I've graduated with a bachelors in mechanical engineering, got a job at a medical device manufacturing company, bought a house, bought a brand new F150, and have drastically changed my stang. Things are going very well, and hope they continue to do so. Just thought I'd see how all you guys (and gals) are doin, Tireburner, PKRWUD, Dan, MR 5.0, Dark 5.0, SRV, Topless, Crazyhorse, Unit5302, 1Bad89, oldguy, andy669, ultraflow, rev, coupe devil (formerly ponypower) and all you others from "back in the day" feel free to chime in and say hey! happy holidays everyone -Drew

Old Timer checkin' in
Well, I graduated Highschool, went to Community College (kicked some butt there), and now go to Southern Methodist University. I am studying Studio Art and will graduate with a BFA in December of 2005. Both Stangs are pretty much the same. Oh yeah, I got a dog! He's pretty cool |

Re: MW oldtimers reunion thread!
Well I'm still here doing about the same as always. Still interested in Stangs, street racing and cars in general. Seems like the older I get, the harder I have to work, LOL. MW is my major web hang out as it has been fr some years now.

Re: MW oldtimers reunion thread!
Well, I think I've been a moderator for Dan here on MW almost since its inception. Guess that means I'm getting old. Along that line, had to almost cry the other day when my 13-year old asked me what an LP record was. It wasn't the asking that hurt so much as my being able to answer!

Re: MW oldtimers reunion thread!
Hey, Drew!
While I no longer am on the staff at MW I still check in to this forum on a regular basis. I still have my '90 LX but haven't done more than regular maintenance on it for some time, now. At almost 15 years old and 125,000 original miles, I have no desire to break things on a car that has been very good to me. I drive it much less than I used to but whenever I do get behind the wheel and grab the Pro 5.0 shifter, I enjoy it as much as ever. I remain a political conservative and I still debate politics on the web, but on a different site. With Bush's re-election and the expanding Republican majority in congress, life is good - politically. Everything else in my life is fairly static and no major life changes have taken place, although some of my interests have shifted a bit, but that's normal. I have few complaints and much to be thankful for...and I am. Let me take this opportunity to not only say hi, but to wish you and every MW member a very Merry Christmas (I still call the day by it's rightful name) and of course, a great New Year.

Re: MW oldtimers reunion thread!
I'm still around. I get on the board as much as possible but with a year in korea and another in Iraq and one more year in Iraq coming up, I lost a few years of posting. Although my last tour in Iraq I did manage to visit the board once or twice. But life is good, gonna finish the stang over christmas,or finish one project I guess. Then I'll pick up on things again when I get home in '06.

I must give credit to Mr 5.0 (we all know him as Jim ) for keeping my interest piqued in both Mustangs and the mysticism surrounding the name, not to mention moral backing on the political issues that have come up over the past years. I second his enthusiasm for our current (and even the upcoming) political atmosphere. I'm sitting happy and content as one relieved and thankful American. I thank God each day that my family and I are blessed to live in the greatest country on Earth EVER. Merry Christmas to everyone on the MW 'boards, and I wish you all a happy new year. p.s. PARTY AT DAN'S HOUSE!!!!!!!!

Re: MW oldtimers reunion thread!
Hey Drew, long time, no see! I don't make it by anywhere near as often as I used to, but I try to help out in Windsor and Classics when I can; usually once or twice a month. I still spend most of my time online trying to continually improve the Rice Haters site.
On a personal note, I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, or more specifically, dilated cardiomyopathy, a little over a year ago, and have been trying to take it easy ever since. It's meant a lot of changes in my life, but I try to not let it get in the way of things. Fortunately, it was caused by a viral infection, which means it's possible for my heart to regain some of its ability to pump. I'm still in need of a transplant, though, so if you know any young, healthy friends that like to do stupid, dangerous stunts, introduce me.

Re: MW oldtimers reunion thread!
I guess I am an old timer too.
I have just graduated college with marketing and engineering degrees and will start work for an firm here in KC right after the new year. Major changes to the car......I sold it . I now drive a Contour SVT and it sucks, but I used the money I saved on the Stang to buy a condo, which is nice. Once I get caught up on bills for this new place, a new hot rod will find a home here . Everything else is great too. I have been very lucky the way everything has fallen in place for me. Merry Christmas to everyone!

Re: MW oldtimers reunion thread!
I'm here, I haven't been on MW in a while either.
I'm pretty much the same ole same. I'm about to finish up college here pretty soon with my degree in Computer Networking. I'm still broke as ever I've got the ole notch runnign some pretty good times IMHO. I ran a 12.1 @112 at Corral day 2004, I've since then added long-tubes, shortie H-pipe, Mac Flow-Path cat-back, a explorer intake, a 65mm tb, and a 73mm MAF, as well as a set of X2C control arms. So I think I should be in the 11.70 or so range now. Come March-April the new motor is going in and I'm shooing for some low low 11's or maybe even a high 10 or two before the stock T-5 lets loose. -Josh, aka the tireburner
