Unhappy God help me

I am such a dumba**. It was a fairly nice day yesterday, and when I returned home from work at 6pm, I simply parked my car and went inside. *There was a storm last night*

This morning I got up to go to the store, and found that I had left my windows down. My car was ******* Soaked! I spent the last hour trying to dry it all off, and praying that the leather doesnt get discolored.

This is the 3rd damn time I have done this. Twice with my 95, and now the 00 has been initiated.
With my 95, I didnt notice for an entire weekend. Friday night it got wet, and sat. was a really hot day, hence, the water evaporated, and made its way into my aftermarked CD player, thus, breaking it. I think I cleaned this one up well, but where the hell is my mind???!?!?

Don't feel to bad, I've done the same thing. Luckily it was with those little back windows only. When the weather's nice you just don't think about it.

Everybody makes mistakes, dude. The important thing is that we learn from them and stop making the same ones over an over again. If I know I'll be inside a building for over an hour (let alone, over night), I don't care how sunny it is outside, the windows get rolled up (to discourage theft and damage from weather).

You're no "dumba**, just human. ROLL UP THOSE WINDOWS!!

Well when I got flooded my benz got water in the floors and would not dry out for days until I left it completely open on a really bright sunny day. Pray for a sunny day!

I hope the leather turns out ok, I'm sure it will. As far as the carpet, now would be a great time to take it to the car wash and use the wet vac on that sucker. I had an old toyota in college and the air conditioning drain plug got backed up and got water all in the floor. When I vaccummed it, it was the cleanest I'd ever seen it.

Well, I think most of the water is gone. We'll see tomorrow morning if any is left. It's not like Im careless with my car, I love it, but sometimes I guess I just don't think. Anyway, thanks for the kind words. Im not really mad at myself, just thought it was funny that Ive done it 3 times now.
