Default Something good...for kids.

We live in a world where we hear so many bad things every day, but ocassionally something good happens...even amazing.

I just spent the entire weekend at Penn State as I have every year for the past four years on this same weekend. The Penn State students have organized the most amazing Dance Marathon called just "THON". For 30 years THON has been in existence.

Money raised at this event goes directly to "Four Diamonds" which is a pediatric cancer charity that helps kids with cancer who are treated at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa. Four Diamonds helps in many, many ways. If you have a child with cancer and have no insurance, for example, Four Diamonds will pay all of your bills.

There are 750 dancers and about 2000 students that come together to make this 48 hour event a reality. They make all the children who attend feel like kings and queens no matter if they are a child with cancer or a sibling.

This year they raised $3.5+ Million Dollars! That is the fourth year in a row that they have raised over $3.0 Million.

I love Penn State and that's a hard thing for a Notre Dame graduate to admit.

Thank you PSU for all your hard working and love for these kids!!!

That is awesome!

This past Sunday I spent at a Car Show that benefitted the East Texas Crisis Center. This is an annual show, it ran Friday evening through Sunday afternoon.

They raffled a 65 Mustang that we have been selling raffle tickets for several months. The car was restored and donated by Tyler Ford. I got to detail the car for the show.

The weekend show brought in $33,800 at last count Sunday evening, and the raffle car brought in a total of $31,600!

The East Texas Crisis Center is a non-profit organization that provides assistance and support for women and children in the East Texas area who are victims of domestic violence.
