anyone play the original gran turismo anymore? i never bothered to get PS 2, and therefore cannot get GT 3. I jhave GT 2, but i have always favored GT 1. Anyway, reasson i'm asking, is i wanted to compare track times to see how i'm doing...

trial mountain I 1:02:023 in the dodge concept car
high speed ring I 42:031 in the skyline
Autumn ring mini 26:031 in the viper.

is this about what everyone else sees? or does no one play it anymore?

I play GT-2, but don't have a playstation of any kind. I'll try to borrow one, then post times of mine.

last night i beat my previous best on autumn ring mini...now i have a 24.695 with the concept car. i guess no one plays this game?

Only Playstation 2 for me. After playing Gran Turismo 3 on PS2, it is impossible for me to go back to GT1 or GT2 on PS1. I just can't get past the difference in graphics.

i have been holding out for PS 2 to drop in price. it is still around $300, way too much imho. i play GT 3 on a friend's system, but i am stuck with ps 1 for now. damn...

does anyone know of any sites that people list lap times on the first GT? maybe there are still other people out there playing it like me

Yeah, I consider myself lucky because I got my PS2 brand new for $229.99. My mom is a merchandiser for Playstation, so she gets a discount on the system and gets games that are made by SCEA for free. So, I was also lucky enough to get GT3 completely free.

I had to buy Grand Theft Auto 3 though, but I'm not complaining. That game rules. I also bought NHL 2002, which kicks tail too. The only bad thing is with college, I never have time to play the darn thing.

Actually, Sony gave my mom a free PS2, but it is basically my brothers since it has to stay at home. It can't go with me up to school, because she might need it to use for a demo at a store or something if one of the display units craps out.

I also got a free dual shock, but you probably hate me enough already by now so I'll shut up.
