Default Ford Focus Question.....

Hey I was wondering what Zetec is, I believe it's in Ford Focus's. I only ask cause my friend got a Focus for a rent a car after his dad read ended someone in the Honda Accord I had a good laugh at him don't you worry. lol And he gets a Focus also being the anti-ford bastard he is. lol But he was saying some some with Zetec but he had no idea what it was and neither do I.
Can anyone explain?

Thanks,
§am.

Zetec doesn't really stand for anything. It's just what they decided to call it. It's kinda like the 351 Windsor motors, being called Windsor really has nothing to do with the engine it's self. Even though it was produced in the Windsor plant, it wasn't some acronym for some technical babble like the VVTI of Toyota or VTEC of Honda. It's just a gimmick.

By the way, if you look in this months issue with Nicole's car in it, my friend Tom's car is in there. 345 hp to the wheels, off the "NOS". Nice huh?

Later.

The only differences that I know between the normal 2.0 and the 2.0 Zetec is the normal 2.0 is a SOHC making 110 HP at 125 Ft Lbs or torque and the Zetec is a DOHC 16V making 130 HP at 135 ft lbs of torque
