I saw it and can say that I enjoyed it's entertainment value. Now I know blue flames are never going to shoot out of my car, and lots of other stuff that is ficticous. They give credit to the American Muscle and while I believe they total all of them except the Viper off the top of my head, they did crash the Supra, Skyline, Evo, S2000, among others though. ~Brian

I hate to say this.......but after the first 15-20 minutes of the movie, i ACTUALLY ENJOYED IT!!!!!!!!

It's not bad like the 1st movie and here's why:
1. It's not NAWWWSSSSS (NOS) anymore, they actually call it nitrous
2. The first scene is a rice race and is very unrealistic in so many ways it was somewhat funny (i laughed through 1/2 of it)
3. It actually had a somewhat entertaining plot, after Bryan (main guy) gets caught racing he has to aid in bringing in a major crime boss by being a "driver" for him. Actually an interesting plot.
4. There's ALOT more domestics, and they wreck about the same amount of domestics as they do imports.
5. Some of the imports aren't near as ricey as the 1st movie and the acceleration rates of the cars are SOMEWHAT REALISTIC. You get views of the speedometers and the cars are actually going about as fast as they would.
6. In one of the races they say "we aren't going to be able to beat the domestic muscle, so we'll have to figure something out" when they raced a Yenko Camaro and a Charger (or Challanger, i forget) for pink slips. And they got owned, but cheated to make it a closer race.

All in all, it wasn't a great movie IMO, but i was able to tolerate it and would probably watch it again, unlike the 1st movie.
They also make alot of positive comments for the muscle cars as well.
The only mustang in the movie got crushed, but it was a pretty cool scene.

I didn't see the movie but the ricers were out in full force the night that it opened, I saw several of them pulled over
they did a big article in the local newspaper about the local rice cars, this one guy spent $30,000 on a 1990 civic and he says "I can keep up with a corvette, until the corvette hits 3rd gear"
I'm thinking if I spent $30000 on a car I would at least want to be able to smoke a corvette

Too damned funny! Reminds me of a PPV drag racing event I watched on my DirecTV. "Detroit vs. The Imports", was the name. There was a civic that had beaten a stock late Z28 and they interviewed the Civic driver after the run. Seems he spent $30,000 to beat out the stock Z28 but imagine putting the same $30,000 into the Z28, or a late model GT or Cobra for that matter?
