2004 Mustang pictures, if you did not see before.
These are what I found on Motor Trend. Also read the post "What I saw (not for real)" it has the concept pic I saw of the new mustangs.
Ahh.. they remind me of too much of a Saturn with the lights, both back and front. |

How old are these images? The Nov issue of MM&FF has Ford design boss J Mays saying that the styling will get it's inspiration from the '69-70 Mach 1 as well as the '67-68 GT. It also says some bad rumors suggest the top engine will be a weakling 4-banger, and the cars DEW98 platform 'won't have room for a transmission tunnel for a gearbox that can handle any kind of power,' and a redesign would be necessary (which won't happen with ford). That is some dire prophecy.

whatever it looks like, dont jump to conclusions cause we all know how a lot of stangers absolutely hated the SN95 and the 99 style when they first came out, i know i did, i thought the 99 was uglier than the mustang II's but now i love both styles (not the II )

I think it's Oct news. Please I hope what you read in MM&FF will be wrong, because all the info I have read sounded like the Mustang was getting stronger with more power and better engines, what you stated sounded like it got worst. Why don't they have room? The DEW is not THAT SMALL!! Anyway, if you want more pic's check out my other post

Hmmmm.... I don't know if I really like that. It's looks ok I guess but something looks wrong on it I just can't put my figure on it. Hmm... I suppose it'll grow on me. I've also been a fan of all Mustangs (Excluding the Mustang II, but I don't think many liked there looks) so I guess in time I'll come to love it too. =) Hey I got 2 years to learn to love it. =)

I did not like the sn95 bodystyle for a couple of years but it has grown on me also.
I do like the pic above, I think it looks sweet and would probably have to have one. ------------------ James Cox nochevy@hotmail.com 1991 Mustang LX |

but the convertible might look sweet but the Saturn lights have to go. I love the lights on the current mustangs. But lets face it, it's just concept.

If you go to www.blueoval.com, they already have alot of the engines planned for the mustang probably in development or at least testing and since this will be based on the thunderbird chassis it will definately have room for at least a small V8 and rear wheel drive, which is good. I seriously doubt any speculation that it will have a 4 cylinder because many companies tried that in the 80's and it failed horribly, not only that but any mustang fan would complain and i'm sure ford isn't that stupid.
Whatever the styling is, i'm sure the next mustang will handle better, get better emissions and fuel economy, have equal if not better brakes and will have pretty good power. I've heard that the 3.8L is going bye-bye and that in it's place a 4.0L V-something engine will be offered (don't know whether it's a V6 or V8 but it's supposed to have over 200hp according to Blue oval news). I'm excited to see what the new mustang will be like, but i will miss the "fox" mustangs that have been around for so long. |

too tall, too narrow. looks like it has a very high center of gravity, and it is too round. needs to be more muscular, and lower/wider. it just doesn't have anything that jumps out....all to flat/round/nondescript
