Re: Sand blasting a stang
The right way to do it is to take a grinder with a 36 grit disc and grind all the dents. Its alot easier to see the dents when theres paint on the car. Then after its blasted, you can see the grind marks where the dents are.
Most normal sandblasting shops dont do body panels. You will need to find a shop that specializes in paint stripping. The shop I use, uses plastic media. Stripping just the outside can be done with the glass in the car. You just want to make sure its covered good. Andy

Yup, dont do sandblasting, it will warp all your panels.

Re: Sand blasting a stang
you use a different type of media, or soda blasting.

Re: Sand blasting a stang
had my car media (plastic) blasted. Realatively in-expensive and was able to leave the glass and trim on. Took all the paint off down to bare metal. Kinda cool, cause it does not etch the medal as sand would. Only way to go on any more of my projects.
